When Rihanna left her hotel wearing nothing but a blazer yesterday afternoon, we assumed she was off to some sort of celebrity party that required the majority of her flesh to be on show.

However, it turns out that the singer was actually heading to Radio 1, so unless she has a massive crush on Scott Mills, we have no idea why Rihanna was ridiculously dressed up for her radio slot.

Not that we didn’t enjoy the interview – Rihanna basically turned it into a gushfest about her good mate Katy Perry.

When asked whether it’s a proper friendship (rather than the more common and fake showbiz friendship), Rihanna proceeded to tell the host all the reasons why she loves Katy.

She said: “She’s unbelievable, unbelievable! She is such a strong being. She wants to be there for me and I’m like, ‘Girl, I’m supposed to be there for you, don’t worry about me right now!’ She’s incredible like that!”

“She’s one of my best friends in the industry.”

In the industry? Hmm, we’re edging into fake showbiz friendship territory here. But don’t worry, Rihanna brings it back.
