The controversy erupted after Olivia Hawkins claimed she had seen direct messages allegedly sent by Grace, 

in which she reportedly stated she would do “anything to win.” 

While Grace firmly denied the allegations, the situation escalated when former Islander Mitch Taylor shared a screenshot appearing to show the incriminating messages. 

However, in a shocking twist, Mitch later cast doubt on their authenticity, leaving fans divided over what to believe.

Olivia Hawkins’ Explosive Accusation

During one of the final episodes, tensions ran high when the eliminated Islanders returned to the villa to cast their votes on which couple should be sent home. It was during this segment that Olivia Hawkins, commonly known as Liv, dropped a bombshell claim about Grace.

Liv took Luca Bish aside and warned him about messages she had allegedly seen. She stated, “I’ve seen text messages of Grace just saying to someone that she’ll do whatever it takes to win the show this time from someone back home.”

This revelation sent shockwaves through the villa, with Grace immediately refuting the accusations. Her close friend Harriet Blackmore rushed to her defense, insisting that Grace was not the type to manipulate the game. However, many fans were left skeptical when Mitch Taylor later shared a supposed screenshot of the messages on his Snapchat.

Mitch, a former Love Island contestant, took to social media and posted a screenshot allegedly proving that Grace had indeed sent the messages in question. The image displayed Grace’s name and profile picture, with the text: “Aww thank you babe. I will win this time! I’ll do anything to.”

He later took to Snapchat, saying, “I don’t know who the receipts are from, I got sent it loads. All I know is Casey and Gabby won.” This statement suggested that Mitch had not verified the authenticity of the messages before sharing them, causing further confusion.

And admitting it right after Casey won is even wilder. I know Grace is gonna get him.”

Despite these claims, Mitch has since come forward to deny that he had any involvement in creating the alleged fake messages. On his Instagram story, he wrote: “Afternoon, guys. I was gonna let this one naturally die down, but I can’t let lies drag me even more. I’ve said on my Snapchat I got sent the screen recording, so respectfully stop saying I made them.”

Despite the accusations and confusion surrounding the messages, Grace has remained firm in her denial. During the Love Island: All Stars final, she confronted Olivia about the claims, much to the delight of her partner Luca Bish.

Since the controversy unfolded, Mitch has turned off the comments on his social media posts, seemingly to avoid further backlash. A representative for Mitch also spoke out, telling The Mirror, “Mitch shared something he got sent and asked his followers if it was real or fake. Nothing more or out of the ordinary for social media.”
