Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos always keep things fun and lighthearted on Live with Kelly and Mark, and Monday’s episode was no exception. 

This time, the married co-hosts had a hilarious exchange when Ripa pressed Consuelos about his “man type” after he complimented actor Scott Foley’s looks.

Mark Consuelos Calls Scott Foley “Handsome”

The conversation kicked off when Ripa mentioned that Scott Foley, known for his roles in Scandal and Felicity, would be appearing on the show later in the episode.

Consuelos quickly chimed in, describing the La Dolce Villa star as “very handsome.”

“No, I know he’s handsome. I’m just saying, like I’m trying to figure out what Mark’s man type is,” she explained to the audience. “Like if you had a man type, you know what I mean?”

Consuelos, seemingly caught off guard by the topic, jokingly dodged the question. “I’ll think about that and get back to you,” he responded, buying himself some time.

Unwilling to let the moment pass, Ripa turned to the Live crew and audience for backup. “You understand what I’m saying, right?” she asked, making sure she wasn’t alone in her curiosity. “I am always interested in what guys think other guys find handsome.”

Ripa, delighted by the exchange, kept the fun going. “I don’t know, I just love the fact that now Scott thinks you’re handsome.”

Not wanting to leave a compliment unanswered, Foley doubled down on his admiration for Consuelos, adding that the Live host was indeed “handsome.”

Consuelos, realizing the conversation had officially taken on a life of its own, pointed out that it happened to be Live’s “Love Week,” making the moment even funnier.

Ripa, still reveling in the lighthearted fun, suggested that there should be some special effects added to the screen.

“Do you know what we need? The heart-eye emojis coming out of your faces right now,” she joked, picturing a romantic comedy-style visual to match the hilarious exchange.

Foley was all for the idea, responding, “Can we put them on the screen? ‘Cause that’s how I feel whenever I see the two of you guys.”

Ripa, however, wasn’t convinced they’d get their wish, laughing as she said, “I doubt it. Let’s just be happy we’re on the air.”
