Jason Kelce Considers Vasectomy After Wife Kylie Prepares to Welcome Baby No. 4

Jason Kelce is contemplating a major decision about his future as a father after his wife, 

Kylie Kelce, prepares to give birth to their fourth child. The former NFL star, 37, revealed in a recent interview that he is considering a vasectomy, 

as he and Kylie weigh their options regarding expanding their family further.

A Future Without More Kids?

During an appearance on TNT’s Steam Room, Kelce shared that while no final decision has been made, he and Kylie have discussed the possibility of him undergoing the procedure.

“We’ve brought it up. I don’t know if it’s going to happen or not. But, I think we’ll see,” Kelce explained, hinting that their upcoming fourth child might be their last.

Despite the uncertainty, the former Philadelphia Eagles center admitted that Kylie might be reaching the end of her journey with pregnancy. “I think Kylie’s to the end of wanting to pop these things out. I think this pregnancy’s been a long one for her,” he noted.

No Pressure for a Boy

When asked if he would continue trying for a son, Kelce responded with humor, explaining that the decision wasn’t really in his hands.

“That’s not my decision. I’ve got the easy part, I’ll keep doing my part,” he joked, eliciting laughter from the hosts, Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley.

However, he admitted that their track record suggests they might not have a boy even if they tried again. “I don’t think it’s necessarily if we want to have a boy because, at the end of the day, we’re not shooting with good percentages,” he said. “It’s like, ‘Do we want to have another child?’ And if we want to have another one, we’ll do that.”

Kelce’s comments mirror a previous statement he made on his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Back in November, after Kylie announced her pregnancy, Jason hinted that their fourth child might be their last. “This might be it. Might be the last hurrah,” he said at the time. “Before we started having them, I always said three and Kylie said five but I don’t know if she’s feeling that anymore.”

A Growing Family

Jason and Kylie, who have been married since 2018, are already parents to three daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1.

Kylie’s pregnancy announcement in November featured an adorable snapshot of their daughters wearing matching pink “big sister” shirts. The photo, shared on Instagram, captured mixed reactions from their little ones—Wyatt looked surprised, Elliotte smiled, and baby Bennett burst into tears.

Despite the potential end of their baby journey, Jason has expressed nothing but love and excitement for his growing family. “I am very good at producing little girls, and we are very excited,” he said with a laugh.

As the couple prepares to welcome their fourth daughter, Jason’s consideration of a vasectomy reflects their evolving perspective on parenthood and family planning. Whether or not he goes through with the procedure remains to be seen, but for now, the Kelces are focused on welcoming their newest bundle of joy into their lively household.
