Kerry Katona issues warning to Kym Marsh after ‘split’ from ‘soulmate’ boyfriend

Kerry Katona has shared her thoughts on Kym Marsh’s reported break-up from her boyfriend, Samuel Thomas, offering a piece of advice to the Waterloo Road actress.

According to reports, Kym ended her relationship with Samuel back in December after dating for six months, despite having previously described him as her “soulmate.”

Kerry, who recently faced her own heartbreak following the end of her engagement to Ryan Mahoney, addressed the situation in her New! Magazine column.

Extending her support to Kym, Kerry stated, “Break-ups are never easy, so I hope she’s doing OK.” She then advised Kym to embrace single life, adding,

“My advice, as a recently single lady, is to stay solo, enjoy your single life, and make the most of it. I know it can be hard at our age, but I’m having a great time.”

Kym’s Heartbreak Following Split from Samuel Thomas

The news of Kym’s split from Samuel comes just months after she publicly gushed over their relationship, calling him the “most amazing ever” back in August. The couple first met while starring together in the stage production of 101 Dalmatians, where Kym played the role of Cruella De Vil. Their romance reportedly blossomed quickly, and by July, they had made their relationship official on Instagram, unable to contain their excitement.

However, things seem to have taken a turn towards the end of the year. While neither Kym nor Samuel has publicly addressed the split, the two have reportedly stopped interacting on social media, fueling speculation that they have gone their separate ways.

According to a source, work commitments made it difficult for the couple to maintain their relationship after their time on 101 Dalmatians came to an end. “Once Kym’s role in 101 Dalmatians ended, it became harder to spend time together, and some of the magic they had at the beginning just disappeared. It’s such a shame, especially before Christmas, but Kym surrounded herself with family,” the source shared with The Sun.

This break-up follows Kym’s third failed marriage. Before her relationship with Samuel, Kym was married to Army Major Scott Ratcliff. Their marriage ended around a year before she began dating Samuel.

Kerry Katona’s Own Journey Post-Breakup

Kerry’s words of wisdom come from personal experience, as she herself recently went through a painful split. She ended her six-year relationship with fiancé Ryan Mahoney in November, four years after he proposed during a family trip to Spain. Although Kerry didn’t disclose full details, she hinted at a “breach of trust” that led to their separation.

Since her breakup, the 43-year-old singer and media personality has been focusing on enjoying life as a single woman. She recently took a trip to Thailand and has been embracing her independence. In fact, she even revealed that she is attempting to join the celebrity dating app Raya, signaling that she’s open to exploring new romantic possibilities.

In her New! Magazine column, Kerry emphasized the importance of enjoying singlehood rather than rushing into another relationship. She encouraged Kym to do the same, sharing her belief that taking time to focus on oneself after a breakup is crucial.

A Look Back at Kym and Samuel’s Romance

Kym and Samuel’s relationship seemed promising at the start. They met while working together in 101 Dalmatians, and their connection quickly turned romantic. In July, the couple made their relationship public, and their social media posts reflected their affection for one another.

Despite initial happiness, their relationship reportedly faced challenges as time went on. The demands of their careers and the distance between them contributed to the eventual breakdown of their romance.

At the time of their relationship, a source close to Kym told The Mirror, “Kym is so happy with Sam, and they couldn’t contain their excitement, so it felt natural to put pics on social media and tell the world about the relationship.” However, the source also noted that some people had reacted negatively to their romance, which may have added pressure to their relationship.

What’s Next for Kym and Kerry?

As Kym navigates her reported split from Samuel, it remains to be seen whether she will take Kerry’s advice and focus on single life. While breakups are always challenging, Kym has a strong support system around her, including her family and close friends.

Meanwhile, Kerry appears to be embracing her new chapter with enthusiasm. From enjoying solo trips to exploring new dating options, she is making the most of her single status and encouraging other women to do the same.

Regardless of what the future holds for Kym and Samuel, both women are showing that life goes on after heartbreak. With time, healing, and self-care, they will continue to move forward in their own ways.
