Stacey Solomon ‘won’t talk to family for weeks’ after chaotic trip with rarely seen brother

Stacey Solomon has given fans a glimpse into her recent family getaway, revealing that the jam-packed adventure has left everyone exhausted—but full of special memories.

The former X Factor star, 35, took to Instagram to share highlights from a skiing holiday in Switzerland, where she reunited with her rarely seen brother.

While the trip was filled with breathtaking scenery and fun on the slopes,

Stacey jokingly admitted that the chaos of traveling with her large family might lead to a temporary communication break.

A Special Reunion in Switzerland

The Loose Women panellist made the trip extra special by visiting her brother, who now lives in Switzerland.

Stacey rarely speaks about him in public, making this family reunion even more significant. In an emotional post, she expressed just how much she misses him since he moved away.

Sharing a collection of heartwarming photos from the trip, Stacey captured the excitement of her husband, Joe Swash, and their five children as they embraced the snowy adventure. One particular image showed the entire family kitted out in their ski gear, beaming in front of a picturesque mountain backdrop. While Stacey opted for a sleek black-and-white ski suit, Joe stood out in a colorful outfit—one that she humorously admitted she loved more than he did.

A Holiday to Remember—Despite the Chaos

In a candid and lighthearted caption, Stacey reflected on the rollercoaster experience of traveling with her energetic family. “The family who ski together—probably won’t talk to each other for a few weeks now. I’m joking (but not),” she wrote.

The mother-of-five went on to describe the holiday as “special, tiring, adrenaline-pumping, and crazy,” noting that despite the exhaustion, the memories made were priceless. She also praised her children for embracing the challenge of skiing, beaming with pride at how quickly they adapted to the slopes.

The trip, however, was not without its mishaps. Stacey previously revealed that their journey got off to a chaotic start when they missed their connecting train from Paris to Switzerland. This unexpected delay meant the family had to spend an unplanned night in the French capital before finally reaching their destination. While the hiccup could have dampened spirits, the resilient Solomon-Swash clan made the most of it and eventually arrived in Switzerland, ready for an unforgettable adventure.

The Hidden Side of Stacey’s Family

While Stacey is well-known for sharing snippets of her life on social media, there are aspects of her family that remain relatively private. The TV personality has several siblings, some of whom stay out of the public eye.

Her older sister, Gemma Solomon, frequently appears on her Instagram and is known for her love of organizing and labelling everything in sight. Stacey also has another sister, Samantha Stone, who works as a personal trainer. Their father, David Solomon, is Samantha’s stepfather, and he shares Stacey and her brother Matthew with their mother, Fiona. After divorcing Fiona, David remarried and had another son, Josh, who is now 18.

While Stacey’s siblings largely avoid the limelight, her bond with them remains strong, making this rare reunion with her brother in Switzerland all the more meaningful.

Balancing Career and Motherhood

Despite her successful career, Stacey has been open about the struggles of juggling work and family life. In a revealing chat on Caroline Hirons’ podcast Glad We Had This Chat, she spoke about the challenges of finding balance, particularly as her eldest son, Zachary, prepares to leave school.

She admitted to feeling conflicted about how much time she has spent working throughout her children’s lives, reflecting on the need to be more present as they reach important milestones. “I think I’ve come to a point in my life where I recognise that I’ve been really busy for his life, and his life is at a really important point,” she shared.

With three younger children also requiring her attention, Stacey is reconsidering her career priorities. She even confessed that her ultimate dream would be to become a “stay-at-home mum.” Each year, she sits down with her agent to discuss her professional goals, making sure they align with her desire to be there for her family.

A Well-Deserved Break (For Now)

As the Solomon-Swash family returns home from their action-packed skiing adventure, it’s clear that the trip was both physically and emotionally draining—but also incredibly rewarding. While Stacey’s playful remark about not talking to her family for weeks might hold some truth, there’s no doubt that this holiday will be cherished for years to come.

With a strong emphasis on family, love, and creating memories, Stacey continues to share her real and relatable journey as a mum, proving that even in the midst of chaos, the most special moments can be found.
