Mark Consuelos had an eventful moment on live television 

when his golf game almost went awry, leaving one bystander caught in the middle of his swing. 

During the Live with Kelly and Mark episode on Tuesday, November 12, the 53-year-old 

co-host was demonstrating his golfing skills at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa in California when he noticed a woman standing dangerously close to his shot.

The show, typically filmed in New York City, had temporarily relocated to Palm Springs for a series of special episodes. 

However, what was meant to be a fun segment quickly turned into a near-miss situation that had both the audience and his wife, Kelly Ripa, in stitches.

A Close Call on the Green

As Consuelos prepared to take his swing, he suddenly noticed a woman standing directly in his line of fire. In an attempt to warn her, he called out, “Lady! Hey, lady! Hey, lady! Watch out!” His urgency caught the attention of Ripa, who was watching from the sidelines.

Clearly amused, she interjected, “Oh my gosh, there is a lady. You’re supposed to yell, ‘Fore!’ Even I know you yell, ‘Fore!’” The audience quickly joined in, chanting “Fore!” along with her, adding to the hilarious moment.

Despite the chaotic scene, Consuelos finally took his shot, and thankfully, the woman remained unharmed. As he returned to his seat, Ripa playfully questioned him, “Did you hit that lady that was actually golfing?” Consuelos, laughing, admitted, “I almost hit that lady. She almost owns the Westin, yes.”

“You took out a man’s man purse,” Ripa revealed, before clarifying to the audience, “Mark took it out, put it between his legs, put my suitcase up there, and he goes, ‘Is this somebody’s bag?’”

Consuelos, clearly amused by his own actions, laughed as he admitted, “I didn’t even ask him,” explaining that he simply pressured the man into moving his bag to free up space.

Ripa, ever the quick-witted host, called her husband’s move “very alpha,” before joking, “I almost used another word that they’d probably bleep out.”
