Tom Felton reveals the moment he fell for Emma…and his journey to pursue her in return(video)

Tom Felton had a crush on Emma Watson ever since he saw her in a pink dress backstage of the Harry Potter film.

He was 14 and she was 11, but he felt a strong attraction to her that he could not explain.

He was drawn to her intelligence, her confidence, and her smile.

He admired her for being brave and outspoken, even when she faced criticism or ridicule. He secretly wished he could be her friend, or maybe something more.

But he knew he had no chance with her. He was playing Draco Malfoy, the arrogant and cruel rival of Harry Potter, while she was playing Hermione Granger, the smart and loyal friend of the boy who lived.

They were on opposite sides of the story, and he feared she would hate him for his role. He also knew she had a crush on someone else, someone who was closer to her age and more suitable for her.

He heard rumors that she liked Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, or Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley. He felt a pang of jealousy whenever he saw her acting romantic scenes with them, or laughing and joking with them off camera. He wished he could be the one to make her happy, to hold her hand, to kiss her.

He tried to hide his feelings, to act professional and friendly with her. He even teased her sometimes, hoping to get her attention. But he never dared to tell her how he really felt, afraid of being rejected or ridiculed. He kept his crush a secret, only confiding in his closest friends.

He hoped that one day, she would notice him, and maybe feel the same way. But he also knew that it was unlikely, that they were too different, that they lived in different worlds. He resigned himself to admire her from afar, to cherish the moments they shared on screen and off screen, to dream of what could have been. He never forgot her, even after the Harry Potter films ended. She was his first love, and he would always remember her
