GMB’s Susanna Reid ‘snubs’ Piers Morgan as he makes brutal dig during ITV show reunion

Piers Morgan made a memorable return to *Good Morning Britain* this week, reuniting with his former co-host Susanna Reid after an absence of almost four years.

Their reunion sparked both playful moments and a few jabs, creating a lively atmosphere as the pair revisited some of their past on-air dynamics.

During the show, Piers and Susanna briefly addressed the fiery discussion between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy

before turning their attention to Piers’ long-awaited return to the ITV breakfast program.

The reunion was filled with a blend of nostalgia and light-hearted banter.

Piers couldn’t resist making a cheeky remark, noting, “Hang on, are we just going to ignore the fact that I haven’t been here in 1,453 days?”

As he tried to embrace Susanna, she responded with a playful refusal, exclaiming, “No, no I don’t want a hug!” Despite her protest, Piers went ahead with the hug, which left Susanna visibly uncomfortable. However, Ed Balls, who was also on set, quickly stepped in to give Piers the hug Susanna had declined, prompting laughter from the host.

The exchange didn’t end there. As Susanna continued to maintain her playful distance, Piers teased her by saying, “You’ve moved on so fast!” Susanna, always ready with a witty comeback, responded with a smirk, “I’ve got a couple of new husbands now.” Ed, ever the mediator, pointed out that Susanna doesn’t hug him either, to which she confirmed, “No, I don’t do hugs, as you know.”

The conversation shifted briefly when Piers mentioned his recent interactions with Donald Trump, as the focus turned to his time spent interviewing the controversial figure. The lighthearted tone of the reunion continued to dominate the discussion, but Susanna didn’t miss the opportunity to throw a playful jab at Piers’ last appearance on the show. As Piers continued to talk, she gestured toward the exit, referencing the dramatic moment when Piers stormed off set four years ago.

Despite the playful tension between the two, it was clear that their reunion was filled with mutual respect and camaraderie. Piers, ever the charismatic host, couldn’t resist a quick diversion when he caught sight of Lorraine Kelly on another part of the set. He called out a cheerful “Hello!” which prompted Ed to jokingly remind him to “stay in the room.” Susanna, adding her own witty remark, chimed in with “For now!” as Lorraine welcomed Piers back with enthusiasm. Piers responded with a thankful tone, saying, “Thank you! She (Susanna) couldn’t bring herself to say it, but thank you!”

The playful tension continued as Piers brought up the idea of reuniting with the entire *Good Morning Britain* team, joking that all that was missing was Alex Beresford, referencing the infamous on-air clash between him and the weatherman that led to Piers’ dramatic exit from the show. The mention of Alex caused laughter around the studio, but Susanna swiftly shifted the conversation away from the topic, clearly not wanting to revisit the uncomfortable moment.

Piers Morgan’s return to *Good Morning Britain* was filled with humor and playful jabs, proving that despite their past differences, he and Susanna Reid still have great on-screen chemistry. While the reunion certainly sparked some nostalgia for fans of the show, it also highlighted the humorous and often unpredictable dynamic between the two co-hosts. Whether joking about hugs or poking fun at old conflicts, it’s clear that their reunion is one viewers will remember for a long time.
