‘Today’s Savannah Guthrie Joins Jenna Bush Hager for Show’s 4th Hour in Monday Shake-Up

Savannah Guthrie made a special appearance on *Today With Jenna & Friends* on Monday, March 3, after co-anchoring the morning segment of *Today*.

This marked a memorable moment for fans as she joined her close friend, Jenna Bush Hager, to host the 10 a.m. hour of the show.

Their dynamic as best friends created a fun and engaging atmosphere, much to the delight of viewers who tuned in for a lively and relatable broadcast.

Hager has been hosting *Today With Jenna & Friends* since January, following Hoda Kotb’s departure from the program.

Since then, Hager has been welcoming a rotating cast of celebrity guests to co-host with her each week.

However, for this special episode, Guthrie, a familiar face from the *Today* show, joined her to fill the co-hosting role.

The show teased Guthrie’s appearance on Instagram the day before the broadcast, captioning the post, “Our queen of the early hours of TODAY will be sticking around to co-host with JBH tomorrow morning! We can’t wait to have you, @savannahguthrie!” The post generated excitement among fans, eager to see the duo on-screen together.

Although this was a one-day affair, it comes at a time when there’s growing curiosity about Guthrie’s future at NBC. With Hoda Kotb’s sudden exit from the network in January, speculation has arisen regarding whether other longtime *Today* show personalities, like Guthrie, may follow suit. Fans are especially concerned about potential changes in Guthrie’s role at the network and whether she might reduce her hours or transition into a different role.

In a recent interview, Guthrie addressed these rumors and kept her cards close to her chest, offering a cryptic yet optimistic response. “What I know now is that I have the best job with the best people, both on camera and behind the scenes,” she told *Us Weekly*. “We’re doing important work and [it’s] fun. Who knows what the future holds? I’m open, but I’m pretty darn happy.” Her response left the door open for possibilities but reassured fans that, for the moment, she’s content with her current position.

The questions surrounding Guthrie’s future only intensified when Kotb left *Today* earlier this year, fueling speculation that more shakeups at NBC could be on the horizon. Could Guthrie potentially switch to the 10 a.m. show as a permanent co-host with Hager? While NBC has not announced any plans to designate a permanent co-host for *Today With Jenna & Friends*, the idea of Guthrie transitioning to this time slot has been a topic of conversation. Fans have expressed interest in seeing her take on this role, as her dynamic with Hager is already a fan favorite.

Outside of her career, Guthrie is a devoted mother to two children, whom she shares with her husband, Michael Feldman. The journalist has often spoken about how important family is to her, particularly since she became a mother later in life. Guthrie has been open about her personal journey, including her divorce from her first husband, Mark Orchard, when she was 36. In a candid interview with *Us Weekly*, she reflected on the challenging period in her life. “When I was 36, I got divorced. I wasn’t married long. That was a huge disappointment. I was pretty sure that I had lost my opportunity [to become a mom] and more or less ruined my life,” she shared. “All I ever really wanted was to fall in love, be a mom, and have a family.” Despite the challenges, Guthrie has since found happiness with Feldman and is grateful for the family they’ve built together.

While the future of *Today With Jenna & Friends* and Guthrie’s role on the show remain uncertain, it’s clear that her presence continues to be a major asset to NBC. Whether she stays in her current role or takes on a new challenge, fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see what comes next for the beloved anchor and mother. For now, viewers can look forward to more moments of laughter and camaraderie as Guthrie and Hager continue to co-host *Today With Jenna & Friends*.
