Loose Women’s Jane Moore gives cutting one-word review of Meghan Markle’s show

Loose Women panellist Jane Moore did not hold back when sharing her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix series.

The outspoken journalist delivered a blunt and cutting verdict, branding the show simply as “boring.”

Meghan’s New Netflix Show: A Lifestyle Series

Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle series is part of the multimillion-pound deal she and Prince Harry signed with Netflix in 2020.

The show consists of eight episodes, each running for 33 minutes, where Meghan welcomes guests

to a picturesque California estate to discuss topics such as cooking, gardening, and hosting.

According to Netflix, the series aims to showcase Meghan’s personal approach to home life by offering tips on entertaining guests and creating a welcoming environment.

The first episode, titled “Hello Honey!”, features Daniel Martin, a long-time friend of Meghan and her trusted make-up artist. Meghan is seen preparing a “thoughtful guest basket” and cooking cherry tomato and kale spaghetti for him.

Although the concept of the series focuses on hospitality and home-making, it has received mixed reactions from viewers and critics—including Jane Moore.

Jane Moore’s Brutally Honest Review

During a discussion on Loose Women, Jane Moore did not hold back when asked about her thoughts on Meghan’s new show.

Referencing a scene in which Meghan arranges fruit and vegetables on a platter, Jane noted that the guests’ reactions seemed exaggerated. She found it surprising that Meghan’s guests responded as if they were witnessing something extraordinary, despite it being a relatively simple task.

She also pointed out that, given the high-profile, multimillion-pound deal behind the show, the content did not seem particularly engaging. She admitted that her attention “drifted” while watching, suggesting that the series lacked substance.

Lack of Personal Interest in Home-Making

Jane was candid about the fact that she personally does not have a strong interest in home-making content. However, she acknowledged that even those who may not typically enjoy lifestyle shows might tune in out of curiosity—perhaps hoping to get a glimpse of Meghan and Prince Harry’s home life.

Yet, the show does not actually take place in Meghan’s home. Instead, the filming is done in a rented house nearby, leaving viewers disappointed if they were expecting a behind-the-scenes look at Meghan’s real living space.

“You want to maybe hear a few bits,” Jane remarked, adding that she did pick up on one minor detail about the Sussexes’ daily life: “I learned Prince Harry likes fried eggs… I don’t know.”

Comparisons to Martha Stewart

During her critique, Jane compared Meghan’s series to the work of Martha Stewart, the well-known lifestyle guru. She noted that Stewart’s shows have always felt “authentic,” whereas Meghan’s seemed more staged and lacking in depth.

The contrast between the two approaches left Jane questioning whether the Duchess of Sussex’s series offered anything truly new or insightful for audiences.

Audience Reactions and Industry Expectations

Since its release, Meghan’s lifestyle series has sparked mixed reviews. While some fans appreciate her elegant and polished hosting style, others have questioned whether the show brings enough original content to justify the high-profile deal.

With the Netflix partnership being a major part of Prince Harry and Meghan’s post-royal careers, the pressure is high for their projects to succeed. However, Jane Moore’s one-word review suggests that this particular venture may not have made the impact they had hoped for.

Final Thoughts

Jane Moore’s blunt criticism of Meghan Markle’s Netflix show highlights the divided opinions surrounding the Duchess’s new career direction. While Meghan aims to share her passion for hosting and lifestyle, the show’s lack of authenticity and engaging content has left some viewers unimpressed.

With the couple’s Netflix deal continuing to unfold, time will tell whether future projects will resonate more strongly with audiences—or if they will face similar lukewarm responses.
