Savannah Guthrie’s subconscious has been working overtime, and her latest dream

has sparked some interesting speculation about her close friend and Today Show co-host, Jenna Bush Hager.
During the March 3rd episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, Savannah playfully revealed that she had a dream in which Jenna was expecting another baby.
“I had a dream last week that you were having baby number four,” Savannah casually mentioned, raising eyebrows in the studio.

Then, with a mischievous smile, she leaned in and asked, “Do you have anything to announce?”

Jenna’s Playful Response

Jenna, known for her quick wit, took a deep breath before letting out an exaggerated exhale, as if she were about to drop a major announcement.
The moment of suspense had everyone on edge—until she finally put the speculation to rest.
“I have nothing to announce,” Jenna said, grinning. “I’m pretty sure I’ve come to terms with the fact that three, even though it’s an imperfect number, is the perfect number for our household.”
Jenna and her husband, Henry Hager, are parents to three children: Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and Hal, 5. While many fans have wondered if she might expand her family, Jenna seems to be embracing the dynamic she already has at home.
Savannah’s Perspective on Motherhood
As a mother of two, Savannah admitted she could relate to the desire for more children. “I would have had a third in a heartbeat,” she shared, before acknowledging the challenges she faced when trying to grow her family. “But you know I was up against the clock.”

Jenna, ever the jokester, chimed in with a remark about her husband, Henry. “That’s what Henry said last night. I mean, he’s turning 47,” she quipped, before adding with a smirk, “I’m still quite young!”
Savannah, always ready with a witty comeback, responded with a teasing “ish,” making both women—and viewers—burst into laughter.
Jenna’s Past Thoughts on Expanding Her Family
This isn’t the first time Jenna has opened up about the possibility of having another child. In 2023, she admitted that she had once hoped for a fourth baby, but her husband had firmly put the idea to rest.
“He says we have three healthy babies,” Jenna revealed at the time. “I’m 41, and I had a little health stuff while pregnant with Hal.”
Her experience echoes that of many mothers who, despite their love for children, must consider their personal health and family dynamics when making such a significant decision.

Jenna’s Approach to Parenting
Beyond the topic of expanding her family, Jenna has also spoken about the challenges of raising children in today’s world. Earlier this year, she shared her concerns about modern parenting and the pressure kids face.
“I don’t think our kids are allowed to fail,” Jenna said, emphasizing how failure can actually be a powerful learning experience.
Reflecting on her own journey, she explained how past struggles helped shape her resilience. “I failed publicly, and it’s actually what makes me, I feel like, my superpower,” she said.
Her message to parents? Embrace setbacks as part of the learning process. “I feel brave because you can come out of something,” she continued. “We need to teach kids that they can come out of things.”

Savannah and Jenna’s Close Bond
Jenna and Savannah’s friendship extends beyond the Today studio. The two women share a deep personal connection, having supported each other through major life events.
Jenna is the godmother to Savannah’s 10-year-old daughter, Vale, while Savannah holds the same honor for Jenna’s youngest son, Hal. Their bond has only grown stronger over the years, making their on-air conversations even more heartfelt and entertaining.
Whether it’s a dream about a potential baby or a candid discussion on motherhood, these two always bring humor, honesty, and warmth to their morning show. While Jenna may not be adding to her family anytime soon, one thing is for sure—her home, and her Today family, are already full of love.
