Ranvir Singh, well known for her work as a journalist and television presenter, has recently opened up about a deeply personal chapter in her life. 

The Good Morning Britain host has revealed that she has been a single mother since she was seven months pregnant with her son, Tushaan, now 12 years old. 

While she had kept this aspect of her life private for over a decade, she now feels ready to share her story.

During a candid conversation on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast, Ranvir shared how she navigated life as a single parent. 

“I have actually been a single mum since I was seven months pregnant. I’ve kept that so quiet, but I am okay to talk about it now,” she admitted.

The television star explained that she has reached a point in her life where she is embracing all aspects of her experiences without feeling the need to keep them compartmentalized. 

“Now I’m at a point in my life where I think that I’m learning to embrace my whole life and to not compartmentalize it as much, to keep everything separate. And that’s a me thing,” she shared.

While her close friends and family were aware of her situation, Ranvir kept it away from the public eye. However, she emphasized that it was always her choice to maintain privacy. “I’m happy to correct it today. Obviously, my friends and family have known. It shows you can keep private whatever you choose to!” she added.

Despite the challenges of single parenthood, Ranvir has successfully built a flourishing career in television while raising her son. In recent years, she has also found happiness in her personal life. For the past four years, she has been in a relationship with Louis Church, who is 28 years old. The couple met in 2020 when Ranvir was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. Louis, who worked behind the scenes on the show, quickly became a significant part of her life.

Ranvir competed on the popular dance show and made it all the way to the semi-finals before being eliminated, finishing in fifth place. Although she didn’t win the competition, her participation in Strictly turned out to be life-changing in ways she never expected.

Since then, Ranvir and Louis have built a strong relationship and now live together along with her son, Tushaan. Speaking about their relationship, Ranvir has dismissed concerns over their 18-year age gap, stating that what truly matters is compatibility. “I don’t see an age gap. What really matters in any kind of relationship in life is a synchronicity of values and emotions,” she said in a 2023 interview with Woman & Home magazine.

She further added, “I don’t know why we’re so obsessed with the age gap. As we are right now, we are blissfully happy and Louis lives very much in the present.”

Ranvir and Louis have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, but they made their romance public in 2021, confirming that they had already been dating for several months by that point. A source close to the couple previously shared that their connection was undeniable. “Ranvir and Louis have been dating for a few months and are totally in love,” the source revealed. “She has met his family and even attended his aunt’s wedding with him.”

The source also described how naturally Louis fits into Ranvir’s family life. “They’ve kept their romance out of the spotlight, but when Ranvir was invited to go to a music event at the O2, she wanted to go with Louis and her son. They were holding hands nearly all day and have incredible chemistry. Ranvir was beaming with happiness as she watched Louis and Tushaan together.”
