Watch moment GMB host Ranvir Singh revealed ‘real reason’ for marriage split live on air as she let slip shock discovery

Ranvir Singh, the popular Good Morning Britain host, recently opened up about her personal life,

shocking fans with the revelation that she has been a single mother for the past 12 years.

Known for her poised presence on screen, Ranvir has previously kept much of her private life under wraps.

However, in a candid new interview, she shared her experiences of being a single mum since her son, Tushaan, was just seven months old,

offering insight into the real reason behind her marriage breakdown.

It was long assumed that Ranvir’s separation from her husband, Ranjeet Singh Dehal, occurred just before she appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020.

However, the broadcaster recently clarified the timeline, confirming that she has been single since she was seven months pregnant with Tushaan, who is now 12 years old. This revelation came as part of her interview on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast, where Ranvir explained how she had kept her personal life private for many years.

During the interview, Ranvir said, “I’ve actually been a single mum since I was seven months pregnant. I’ve kept that so quiet but I am ok to talk about it now.” She also reflected on how, over time, she had learned to embrace all aspects of her life and no longer felt the need to compartmentalize or hide parts of her story. “Now I’m at a point in my life where I think that I’m learning to embrace my whole life and to not compartmentalize it as much,” she added.

Despite keeping her single motherhood private, Ranvir expressed how she is now in a place where she feels ready to share this part of her journey with the public. “I’m happy to correct it today. Obviously, my friends and family have known. It shows you can keep private whatever you choose to!” she said, underscoring the importance of maintaining control over one’s narrative.

This recent revelation about her personal life adds more context to a 2019 moment on Good Morning Britain. An unearthed clip from an episode of the ITV breakfast show shows Ranvir discussing the topic of snooping on a partner’s phone. In the conversation, she revealed that she had checked her then-husband’s phone at one point. When asked if this was why her marriage ended, Ranvir responded with a coy, “I can’t answer that question but can I just say…”

She went on to explain that if a partner felt the need to snoop on the other’s phone, it was likely a sign that trust had broken down in the relationship. “I have always thought that if you ever feel you need to do that, well, the relationship is over because you obviously don’t trust that person,” she stated. When pressed further about what she found, Ranvir admitted that she did indeed find something that “needed addressing,” though she refused to go into further details.

This admission seemed to hint at deeper issues in her marriage, which had likely contributed to their eventual separation. However, it wasn’t until her recent podcast appearance that Ranvir openly discussed the true timeline of her single motherhood and the circumstances surrounding the breakdown of her relationship. She explained, “I need to own it. I need to say, ‘It’s not shameful, it’s not something to hide, this is me.’” This powerful statement marked a turning point in her journey toward fully embracing her past.

Ranvir’s openness about her struggles with her marriage and her decision to raise her son as a single mother reflects her strength and resilience. She is an example of someone who has navigated personal challenges while continuing to maintain a successful career in the public eye. As a mother, she has focused on giving Tushaan the best life possible, and her decision to be transparent about her past signifies her growing confidence in sharing her complete story.

As she continues to balance her career and motherhood, Ranvir’s decision to publicly address her experiences highlights an important message: there is no shame in embracing your life, your choices, and the challenges you’ve overcome. For many, Ranvir’s story will serve as a reminder that even in the face of adversity, it’s possible to move forward with grace and confidence.
