Alongside her professional duties, Dylan has become an advocate for raising awareness about celiac disease after her son Calvin was diagnosed with the condition in 2023. In a recent post, Dylan shared her frustration with airport restaurants and their lack of understanding when it comes to serving gluten-free meals. She posted a photo of a menu offering gluten-free pizza crust, but expressed her disappointment when the pizza was prepared in a regular pizza oven, contaminating it with gluten.

“DEAR AIRPORT RESTAURANTS: do not get our hopes up by listing a gluten-free pizza crust,” Dylan wrote. “We literally walked out of our way to sit down to a nice meal before a long flight. If you cook the gluten-free pizza in a rolling pizza oven with every other regular pizza, it is no longer a gluten-free pizza. Save yourself the energy of even stocking a gluten-free crust. Also, airports: do better for people with celiac disease.”
