Beyoncé’s mom found herself in hot water and needing to apologize to Janet Jackson fans after she seemed to disrespect the music star.

The furor started when Tina Knowles liked an Instagram post by a friend that complained about the ticket prices for Jackson’s upcoming tour.

“What a joke….they add $1000 for a 15 second meet & greet again. No front row for fans unless you want to bend over so they can continue to rake in the cash,” Instagram user @let68 captioned the post.

They continued by arguing to charge a lot of money for tickets you need to have a Beyoncé level of production, referring to the singer’s recent Renaissance world tour.

“You want Beyoncé prices, have real production. Just disgusted. I’m not the only one…oh the DMs I’m getting. Way to thank your fans for years of support,” @let68 wrote.

Some people noticed Knowles had liked the post and took it as a sign she was being negative towards Jackson. A number of people also hit out at Beyoncé’s fans for joining a social media pile on about Jackson.

“Tina Knowles responds about her shading Janet Jackson. I’m hoping Beyoncé fans can leave Janet alone I love Beyoncé too but Yall doing the most dragging Janet,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Another added: “there’s no way i opened this app to janet jackson slander. the disrespect… get a grip.”
