In an interview with Good Morning Britain , Thomas – Meghan Markle’s father – revealed that he has not yet met his grandchildren. He has not even met Harry and Meghan for the past 5 years.

The last time he spoke to his daughter was when he was hospitalized before their wedding in 2018.

“I still haven’t met my grandchildren and that’s what I want to say. I want to meet my grandchildren and I think King Charles will want to meet his grandchildren too,” Mr. Thomas shared on the program.

Not stopping there, Princess Meghan’s father admitted that he was extremely heartbroken over the broken relationship with his daughter. “I agree that this is really sad.

I am also more heartbroken that this is a cruel thing to do to people who are grandparents, not only to me but also to the king of England,” Mr. Thomas continued.

, “Put the past behind you and let me see you. In the state of California, I could really sue but I didn’t do it.”

Also in the interview, Thomas confirmed that he raised Princess Meghan and always kept in touch during her growing up years. However, before Meghan and Prince Harry’s wedding took place, the father-son relationship was completely irreparably broken.

For many years afterward, Meghan’s father repeatedly begged to reconnect with his daughter, but Meghan still did not forgive. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, the Princess revealed that the reason was because her father “betrayed” him by sharing information with tabloids.
