“I think Meghan Markle will quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram,” financial expert Eric Schiffer told Daily Mail on August 26.
“Celebrities like the Kardashians can earn $1 million or more for a post promoting a product. There’s no reason why Meghan couldn’t earn that fee,” Mr. Schiffer said.
Multiple sources exclusively told Page Six earlier this month that information about the Duchess of Sussex (42 years old) returning to Instagram is false.
“How can Meghan make money if she doesn’t even have Instagram and has no plans to own one?”, the source asked. Royal representatives did not respond or comment on the incident.
However, if Meghan Markle one day decides to recreate her social media account, Schiffer says she “has to be careful” not to be seen “selling every product publicly.”
Mr. Schiffer commented: “Meghan will cooperate with brands and companies that are right for her.”
The Instagram account@meghan has attracted nearly 820,000 followers without any posts on it.
Sources previously claimed the account provided little information beyond an avatar photo, created in tandem with Meghan Markle’s now-defunct Spotify Archetypes podcast.
Rumors about the return of the former Suits actress also appeared in the context that the mother of two children was planning to return to acting.
Meghan Markle currently spends most of her time in Montecito, California with Prince Harry and their children. She signed a contract with businessman Ari Emmanuel’s Hollywood agency WME in April 2023..
“The company will focus on building Meghan Markle’s business ventures across multiple aspects, including film and television production, brand partnerships and more,” said a company representative. WME wrote via Twitter.
Schiffer said marketing yourself on social media would be “the next logical step.”
It’s unclear whether Meghan Markle plans to return to social media, but a source previously told Page Six that it’s something “no one expected.”
