She struggled to contain her ample assets as she walked the red carpet earlier in the evening at the Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets premiere.
And Rihanna, 29, slipped into something a little easier to get about in as she headed to an afterparty at London’s nearby St Martins Lane Hotel.
The singer looked incredible as she went braless in a sci-fi inspired silver satin dress, which clung to her sensational figure.
Stepping out of her car, after travelling a short distance from Leicester Square, the pop star made sure all eyes were on her.
Paying close attention to detail, she draped a silver jacket across her shoulders and wore silver strappy sandals.
With her raven locks worn up, she added a slick of colour to her ensemble with a slick of deep berry lipstick.
Just hours before, she had worn a rather dramatic red satin gown by Giambattista Valli which showed off some serious cleavage.
She continued her all red theme as she carried her Jimmy Choo clutch and in her Chopard jewellery covered hands which matched her vibrant scarlet lip.
Speaking on the red carpet, Rihanna appeared in high spirits as she celebrated her role in Luc Besson’s sci-fi epic. The Umbrella star plays dancing, shape-shifting alien Bubble in the graphic novel adaptation, starring alongside pal Cara, Dane Dehaan and Clive Owen.
Chatting on the blue carpet she told an excited crowd: ‘I’m very excited to be here, I love London. When Luc Besson calls, you just go, you just show up. I don’t care what it is, you just say: “Yes sir, I’m coming”.’
In the movie, a dark force threatens Alpha, a vast metropolis and home to species from a thousand planets. Special operatives Valerian and Laureline must race to identify the marauding menace and safeguard not just Alpha, but the future of the universe.
Rihanna – who previously made her cinematic debut in 2012’s Battleship – also paid tribute to her director for being patient with her on set and ‘knowing I was new to this’.
Speaking of her character, who represents just one of the female heroes in the movie, she said:
‘I think of myself as a shape-shifter in terms of my music and my fashion, so I fell in love with her. It’s a visually thrilling film. I was blown away, I didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed every moment of it.’
Despite the happy display the science fiction epic is already being labelled a ‘box office bomb’ after it placed fifth in the box office chart with takings of just over $17 million against a staggering $180m budget.
