Congrats! Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney got married on October 19, after almost one and half years together, In Touch can confirm.
The intimate ceremony was held at Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island, according to Us Weekly.
Of course, there were a couple of A-lister appearances including Ashley Olsen, Jennifer’s BFF Amy Schumer and Kris Jenner.
The KUWTK matriarch even helped with her nuptials, a source told Life & Style exclusively.
“She’s been tight with Kris for years, and she’s helping her with ideas on the venue, fashion, guest list and even her bridal party,” they explained.
Prior to the big bash, the couple gathered all of their closest celeb pals for a rehearsal dinner on October 18.
According to Us Weekly, the lavish event took place at Gurney’s Newport Resort & Marina, also in Rhode Island, and friends like Adele, Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden, and Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden were seen in attendance. Kris, 63, was also present for the rehearsal — talk about supportive.
It’s no surprise the two tied the knot since they were spotted at New York City’s marriage bureau last month. “They had a female friend and a photographer with them the entire time,” an insider told Us Weekly at the time. “They sat on the couches to the left and were trying to remain unseen. Jennifer had her head rested on Cooke’s shoulder, and they were holding hands.”
Wedding planning can be tough, but the 29-year-old made it clear that she had everything under control. “I’ve been in a good place,” she told Catt Sadler during her podcast, “Naked With Catt Sadler” in June. “I haven’t been neurotic about it. I’m like too lazy to be neurotic. I saw a dress I liked and I was like, ‘That’s the dress.’ I saw a venue and I was like, ‘Cool, we got the venue.’”
The Hunger Games actress is clearly happy with the art dealer, 34, since she couldn’t stop gushing about him in June. “He’s the greatest human being I’ve ever met. He really is, and he gets better. I started with the basics. How do I feel? Is he nice? Is he kind? He’s just the one,” she told the former entertainment host. “He’s the greatest person I’ve ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney.”
Even though the blonde beauty said “I do,” will she be keeping her last name? “Probably legally but not going to change it in my titles and everything,” she revealed. “I’m not going to ask everyone to do a 180 11 years in.”
The newlyweds were reportedly introduced by one of Jennifer’s friends Laura Simpson and later got engaged in February after dating for eight months. Since then, the two have flaunted their love all over town together — from hockey games to strolling around the Big Apple.
Jen has been unlucky in love before — she previously dated director Darren Aronofsky for about a year and Nicholas Hoult for five years — but it seems like Cooke is the real deal. “Jen and Cooke are the perfect couple,” an insider told Life & Style exclusively. “[Jen] says that she knew pretty quickly that he was the one. His family adores her and vice versa.”
