Reba McEntire shares scenes with her boyfriend in Happy’s Place: Making an exciting return to television (video)

Reba McEntire is making an exciting return to television after nearly two decades, confirming her role in a new sitcom titled “Happy’s Place.”

After over 20 years since the beloved sitcom “Reba” first aired, Reba McEntire is returning to television screens with a brand new show, and she’s bringing along a few familiar faces.

During an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, she revealed that her former “Reba” co-star Melissa Peterman and her boyfriend Rex Lynn will be joining her on the show.

“We have been working on trying to get another show since we were canceled on the Reba show,” McEntire shared.

“We got to do Malibu Country for one season. We’ve got the same producers, same showrunner.

Same writers and now we’re back with Melissa Peterman and Rex Linn, my boyfriend, and wonderful, wonderful cast and crew.”

“We had such a good time doing the pilot… we can’t wait to go back,” she added.

Yesterday, Reba thrilled fans by posting a snapshot on her Instagram. In the photo, she poses with the pilot script for her upcoming sitcom, all while mentioning her latest single, “I Can’t.”

What Is “Happy’s Place” About?

In “Happy’s Place,” McEntire will not only star but also act as an executive producer. The comedy follows her character,  Bobbie, as she inherits her father’s restaurant after his passing. The plot thickens when she discovers that her business partner is actually her long-lost half-sister, played by Belissa Escobedo. Additionally, Melissa Peterman reunites with Reba, portraying Gabby, a bartender at  Bobbie’s newfound establishment, according to representatives for NBC.

As of right now, no further details regarding airing or filming dates have been announced by Reba or the television network.
