Meghan Markle, 43, wore Princess Diana’s jewelry during her visit to Nigeria.

According to People, Meghan Markle showed respect for Princess Diana by wearing her cross necklace at a reception for military families at the Defense Headquarters in the capital, Abuja, on May 11.

Harry’s gift to his wife was part of his mother’s jewelry collection.

Meghan Markle also wore her mother-in-law’s gold necklace on her first day arriving in Abuja, May 10. Prince Charles and Princess Diana had a trip to Nigeria in March 1990.

The news agency commented that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex followed in their parents’ legacy by making a visit after more than 30 years.
