There’s a good reason why Reba McEntire isn’t friends with Laura Stroud. According to a new report, the two are no longer speaking. 

Her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock married her friend. Their wedding was held at The Hermitage in Nashville, Tennessee last weekend.

Reba and Narvel were married from 1989 to 2015. They share a son, Shelby, who attended the event. Reba was also the stepmother to Narvel’s children from his previous marriage.

Little is known about Narvel’s new relationship with Laura. An insider told The U.S. Sun that the couple have been involved for a while. 

Laura was good friends with Reba, but they had a falling out. It’s unclear whether her ex-husband’s new relationship with her friend led to their falling out.

Reba McEntire moved on after her split from Narvel. She’s been dating Rex Linn since 2020. The two enjoy living together on their ranch with their farm animals. In her interview with E! News, Reba admitted she’s open to marrying again.

“if that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me,” Reba said on Sunday, April 14. “He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”

In a shocking turn of events, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani attended Narvel’s wedding. Gwen is Reba McEntire’s friend. Blake officiated the wedding. He reportedly took sides in their divorce.

Narvel’s daughter-in-law, Marissa, shared clips and photos of the wedding on her Instagram Stories. Blake stood in front of the couple as he held a book and a script. The couple kissed after Blake pronounced them as husband and wife.

Reba McEntire replaced Blake Shelton as a coach on The Voice. Blake left the NBC show after Season 23. Reba made her debut in Season 24. She is now a coach alongside Chance the Rapper, Dan + Shay, and John Legend on Season 25, which is currently airing.

Narvel was Blake Shelton’s manager for years. He was also Kelly Clarkson’s manager before she dropped him amid her public divorce from her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. She filed a lawsuit against Brandon and Narvel.
