Jennifer Lawrence’s Astonishing Response to Her Past Magazine Photos: ‘So stupid’ (video)

She might play fiery tomboy Katniss Everdeen on screen, but off screen Jennifer Lawrence can do Hollywood glamour as well as anyone else.

In the February issue of Vanity Fair the Hunger Games starlet sizzles as she poses on a car bonnet, showing off an extremely feminine retro style.

The 22-year-old actress is dressed in a pair of high-waisted leopard print trousers and a cropped black cardigan, leaving her trim midriff on show.

Her hair has been teased into huge bouncy curls, which she wears with a bow-embellished headband.

Jennifer is seen with her head turned and she gazes over her left shoulder, showing off feline-like flicked out eyeliner that adds to the 1950s feel of the shoot.

In the snaps, taken by Ellen Von Unworth, Jennifer cuts a trim figure, with curves in all the right places.

In a refreshingly frank and down-to-earth interview with the magazine the beauty reveals that she thinks acting is ‘stupid’ and labels herself ‘vastly uneducated’.

She said: ‘Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid. Everybody’s like, “How can you remain with a level head?” And I’m like, “Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.”‘

And if her attitude to her job isn’t refreshing enough the actress also admits that she gets embarrassingly star struck when she sees her acting idols.

She explained: ‘Once I’m obsessed with somebody, I’m terrified of them instantly. I’m not scared of them – I’m scared of me and how I will react. Like, for instance, one time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher’s face and said, “Not now, Bill!” and I just stared at Meryl Streep.’

The Silver Linings Playbook star, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 for her performance in ‘Winter’s Bone’ is also extremely self-deprecating.

She reads Anna Karenina on her days off, but the starlet labels herself ‘vastly uneducated’ because she didn’t go to high school.
