The actor graced a gathering hosted by his cousin, actress Sonam Kapoor, in honor of the esteemed footballer.
On Instagram, Arjun disclosed that he attended the event accompanied by Malaika Arora. In the images, Arjun and David sported matching black outfits.
However, netizens claimed a discrepancy that Arjun appeared taller than David.
This sparked a flurry of comments, with some pointing out that according to available information, Arjun is typically shorter than David. A user wrote,
“Beckham is 183 cm & Arjun kapoor is 178 cm then how Arjun is looking taller than Beck?”
Another user wrote, “Par David Beckham ki Height toh Arjun Kapoor se lambi hai……photo edit ki adat kabhi khatam nahi hogi kapoors ki (But David Beckham’s height is taller than Arjun Kapoor’s… the Kapoor family’s habit of photo editing will never end )”.
Putting an end to the controversy, Arjun Kapoor had clarified, “I’m actually 183 cms, that’s slightly over 6 feet so let’s not believe everything that we read.”
Recalling his meeting with David, Arjun had penned a note of gratitude that read, “A night to remember… To meet someone u have admired from afar for so many years & to be able to talk face to face with him about his new life in Miami, football, India, travel, his kids,
philanthropy & everything else I could squeeze into a 15 minute dinner table chat.
