It was a devastating moment for the Carter family, as Beyoncé announced her decision to end her marriage with Jay-Z, after discovering his infidelity.

The superstar singer had packed her bags and was ready to leave their mansion, when she heard a sobbing voice from upstairs.
“Mommy, please don’t go!” It was Blue Ivy, their eight-year-old daughter, who had overheard the heated argument between her parents. She ran down the stairs, clutching her teddy bear, and threw herself into Beyoncé’s arms.
“Baby, I’m sorry, but I have to go. Daddy and I are not happy together anymore. We still love you very much, but we need some time apart,” Beyoncé tried to explain, holding back her tears.

“But why, Mommy? Daddy loves you! He said he was sorry! He said he made a mistake! He said he will never do it again!” Blue Ivy cried, looking at her father, who was standing in the doorway, with a guilty and helpless expression.

“Blue, Daddy did something very bad. He broke Mommy’s trust and hurt her feelings. He lied to Mommy and to you. He was seeing another woman behind our backs. Do you understand what that means?” Beyoncé asked, gently.

Blue Ivy nodded, but she still did not want to accept the reality. She loved her father, and she wanted her family to stay together. She could not imagine living without either of her parents.
