Jay Z, the rap icon and Beyonce’s husband, lost his cool during his acceptance speech at the Grammys after Beyonce was snubbed for the Album of the Year award.

Jay Z, who had won 22 Grammys in his career, said in a fiery speech that he was outraged that the Grammys did not recognize Beyonce’s album Lemonade, which was a groundbreaking work that explored themes of black identity, feminism,

and empowerment. He said that he felt like the Grammys were disconnected from the culture and the music industry, and that he did not respect their judgment.

He said that he was only there to support his wife, and that he did not care about the awards.

Jay Z also took a jab at Adele, who won the Album of the Year award for 25 over Beyonce’s Lemonade in 2017. He said that he did not think that Adele’s album was better than Beyonce’s, and that he did not agree with the Grammys’ decision.
He said that he was not trying to insult Adele, but he was just expressing his opinion.
Jay Z also showed his frustration that SZA, a rising R&B star and his protégé, lost to Alessia Cara in the Best New Artist category in 2018.
He said that SZA deserved to win, as she had a remarkable debut album, Ctrl, that showcased her talent and originality. He said that he was proud of SZA, and that he hoped that she would continue to make great music and get the recognition she deserved.
