As the queen of relatable reactions (who could forget that Oscars fall), Jennifer Lawrence isn’t one to let slightly embarrassing moments get her down.

Such was the case during Monday night’s Saks Fifth Avenue holiday lighting ceremony in New York City,

where the actress flawlessly recovered after her belt “popped off” in the middle of a speech — but not before giving us a perfectly meme-able response. 

In a clip captured by InStyle, J.Law was standing at a podium preparing to address the crowd on Monday when the waist-cinching black belt of her outfit completely broke.

In a similar clip shared by Women’s Wear Daily, the A-lister reacted by gasping and putting her hands to her face while telling attendees, “I’m so sorry, that was so loud, my belt popped off.”

Ever the professional, Lawrence quickly kept things moving by ignoring the hilarious wardrobe malfunction and continuing to help Dior “light up the night” by unveiling its holiday window displays.

In addition to her belt, Jennifer sported a black knee-length trench coat during the appearance, which she layered over a white button-up and an ankle-length black sheer midiskirt. Knee-high black pointy-toed boots, a matching black headband, and diamond drop earrings accessorized her outfit, and she rounded out her look with the help of Dior Forever Natural Bronze contour and Rouge Dior Lipstick in Nude Look Velvet.

The longtime Dior ambassador joined Saks President, Marc Metrick and the CEO of Christian Dior, Delphine Arnault, on stage during the lighting ceremony to help kick off the start of the holiday season.

“​​I’ve had the honor of being a part of the Dior family for quite some time now,” Lawrence said at the event post-belt pop. “And looking around this feels like the perfect place to celebrate the holidays. Thank you again for having me. This is so exciting.”
