The Jolie Pitt couple formed a family with 6 children.  Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopted three of them while they were married: Maddox, Pax and Zahara. 

The lives of the three lucky ones changed when the former Hollywood couple decided to adopt them.

Little is known about her adoption stories, but there are some details of Zahara’s sad past, who was adopted at 6 months old.

Zahara crossed paths with Jolie in 2005 . The little girl was born into an extremely poor family. They didn’t even have the bare minimum to feed the newborn. Her mother decided to abandon her to prevent her from dying of hunger. 

The little girl was born with malnutrition .

The grandmother decided to give the baby up for adoption and it coincided with Angelina Jolie being in Ethiopia, working as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

When she met the little girl, she was fascinated and decided to become her mother. 

Now,  Zahara is a real teenager , surprising everyone with her change and great style. Although there have been those who call her “the ugly duckling of the family.” 

About his biological mother, her name is Mentewab Dawit Lebiso. The woman said in an interview with the Daily Mail that she feels happy that her daughter has had a good destiny and made a request to Jolie: 

“I ask Angelina to let me talk to her. I don’t think it’s too much to ask. I don’t want my daughter back , I just want to be able to be in contact with her and call her from time to time, I want to see her face before I die.” , assured the biological mother. 

Although it is unknown whether Angelina Jolie gave in to her mother’s request, it is known that she decided to welcome 2020 in Ethiopia, where she met with the first female president of this country, Sahle-Work Zewde, to talk about social issues such as education and distribution of sanitary napkins to prevent school dropouts.
