It appeared as though a rare setback would be suffered by Tata Martino’s side as they failed to get going or bring talismanic captain Messi into the game.

They were, however, to level matters by the interval as Matias Rojas and Luis Suarez continued their respective rich veins of form.

USMNT hopeful Benjamin Cremaschi completed a stunning turnaround just before the hour mark as Inter Miami went on to claim the spoils in a five-goal thriller.

Club co-owner Beckham was among those watching on with interest as the Herons emerged victorious once again,

with the Manchester United and England legend posting on social media in the aftermath of an impressive victory: “Great comeback win last night.”
