Draymond Green recently responded strongly to criticism from Skip Bayless and his retort caught the attention and support of fellow NBA stars Stephen Curry and LeBron James.
Green publicly declared that he was “skipping past Skip,” referring to Bayless, after the departure of Shannon Sharpe from Bayless’ show, Undisputed.
Green suggested that Bayless had lost relevance in the NBA community, asserting that fewer people paid attention to him now.
He added that he, too, would no longer bother with Bayless’ opinions.
Curry and James quickly showed their support for Green’s stance.
Curry commented on the viral post with “Been skipping!” while LeBron James liked the post, signaling their agreement with Green’s criticism.
Green’s comments were in response to Bayless’ harsh critique, where Bayless called Green the dirtiest player in NBA history and suggested he had ‘one or maybe two screws loose.’
“I dare you to go on YouTube, go up and watch, the low-light tapes of the cavalcade of Draymond Green’s dirtiest plays over the years,” Bayless said.
“The cheapshots, the low-blows, the dangerous plays. Draymond is the all-time cheapshot artist.”
Green defended himself, asserting that people were more interested in hearing from figures like Richard Sherman, who he claimed surpassed Bayless in every way.
“No one wants to hear you talk anymore,” Green noted.
“In the words of Richard Sherman, I am better than you. I am better than you at life, I am just better than you.’ Skipping Skip, that’s a wrap from this episode of The Draymond Green Show…Yeah Skip, we don’t respect you. You need more people. That’s a wrap, peace.”
