GQ and Esquire magazines have rated him as rarely making fashion mistakes and have repeatedly awarded the former player the Best Dressed Man in Britain or the Most Stylish Man in Britain

for his elegant, classic yet dynamic style of dress. In addition to his magnificent playing career at Manchester United and Real Madrid,

David Beckham is also known as a brand ambassador for many big names around the world, such as H&M, Pepsi, Armani, adidas, Tudor…

Recently, David Beckham signed a multi-year design contract with Hugo Boss, in which he will “design and manage” menswear collections for the Boss brand “for many years to come”.

This collaboration is expected to include seasonal collections and non-seasonal capsule collections. The former England player will exploit the highlights of his own style through each stage,

expressing them throughout the ideation and design process. The focus of the collaboration is on luxury and streamlined menswear, with the first collection set to launch in Spring/Summer 2025.

David Beckham will also appear in the brand’s global campaign this fall/winter. “Over the past few years, I’ve wanted to invest more time in design and fashion, but I also wanted to ensure that I was partnering with a brand and an entity that could deliver global value and have a strong impact,” Beckham said. “I’m excited to be working with Boss and am impressed by the brand’s ambition, creativity and drive for excellence.” Specific terms of the deal were not shared; however, the brand stressed that Beckham “will be involved in all stages of the design process from concept to execution,” according to WWD. The collaboration will sit between the premium Boss Camel line and the main Boss Black collection. Daniel Grieder, CEO of Hugo Boss, added: “David Beckham is a true global icon in both sport and fashion. With his exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and genuine passion for classic clothing, he perfectly embodies the values of our BOSS brand.”

Folks now predict that David’s role at Hugo Boss will go beyond just coming up with design ideas, as he is also considered a talented businessman. Currently, “Mr. Becks” has an impressive net worth of $450 million in 2023, according to Celebrity Net Worth. When his wife, Victoria Beckham – a famous fashion designer, successfully turned her own fashion brand out of the red, the couple’s combined net worth increased to $514 million, according to Business Insider.

With many investments, business ventures and real estate since his retirement, the Beckham family’s assets will certainly continue to increase steadily in the coming years. Currently, Beckham is the chairman and co-owner of Inter Miami football club, which owns famous players such as Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets in the team. He is placing great expectations on Messi to help Inter Miami win the Concacaf Champions Cup, thereby qualifying for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, creating a huge step forward for the team. According to the Daily Mail, the amount of money former football player David Beckham spent to establish Inter Miami club in 2018, compared to its current value, is astonishing.

“David Beckham spent only $25 million with businessmen Jorge Mas and Jose Mas to found Inter Miami in 2018. After four seasons in MLS (from 2020), the Florida-based team is now valued at $1.02 billion – nearly double the $583 million valuation in 2023,” the Daily Mail wrote.

“This is the best sports investment and business deal ever. David Beckham shows his vision and excellent management ability off the pitch,” the Daily Mail writer expressed. So far, the Messi craze in the US has helped Inter Miami not only increase its value, but also increase its revenue from just $55 million in 2023 to $127 million in 2024.

In addition, according to Fortune, Beckham earned nearly $100 million from licensing deals last year, doubling the revenue of his company DRJB Holdings – thanks in part to the Netflix documentary about his own life. The documentary series was a huge success, reaching 3.8 million viewers in its first week of release. While brand deals with Maserati, Adidas and others brought in $92.2 million in revenue, being the face of the Qatar World Cup also brought a significant amount of influence and income for the former football legend.

Recently, British media also reported that David had just won a £240 million legal battle against online counterfeit sellers. DB Ventures, where Becks is a director and oversees his biggest commercial deals, filed a lawsuit in the US a few months ago. There are about 150 sellers

Online retailers, mainly in Asia, have branded the Beckhams’ name on knock-offs of clothing, shoes, footballs, perfumes, body care, hair, posters, video games, sunglasses, jewellery and watches, which are being sold on e-commerce sites such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy.

After winning the case, Beckham spoke out in a statement expressing his joy and his determination to continue defending his brand. He said: “Counterfeiting is a serious problem that is damaging businesses and consumers. I hope this victory will serve as a warning to those who are trying to profit from the unauthorized use of other people’s names and images.”

Beckham also urged consumers to be cautious when shopping online and to only buy from reputable suppliers. The Sun reports that DB Ventures has hired trademark specialist The Sladkus Law Group to stop the sale of counterfeit goods, and the move could be to pave the way for David Beckham’s own brands to be sold in the future.
