Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the NBA today.
He’s a nightmare for opposing players because of his offensive game and how skilled he is in scoring the ball.
Former NBA player Kevin Garnett believes Doncic can potentially catch LeBron James, who is the league’s all-time leader in points.
“Listen, Luka is set up to be the only [expletive] to catch ‘Bron. Don’t nobody want to say that s—,” Garnett said.
“Luka is averaging, what’d he average this year, 33? C’mon, man. On one leg, drinking beer, having fun, doing what God knows what else.”
Garnett’s co-host on the podcast, Paul Pierce, also had praises for Doncic, whom he believes is already in his prime.
“It’s 100% his prime. Because you gotta understand he’s been playing pro since he was 16. Right now, he’s 25. He’s in the middle of his prime,” Pierce said.
“Now it’s about how long his prime is going to last. [But] yeah, he’s in his prime. He has five First Team All-NBA [selections]. He made First Team since his second year in the league. So when he hit the league, he hit the league in his prime.”
Doncic led the league in scoring this season after averaging 33.9 points in the regular season. He also notched 9.2 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game and finished in the MVP voting.
Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks are down 0-2 to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
