Adam Levine stated that he is ready to compete on The Voice and will defeat other coaches, even if Blake Shelton returns: “He’ll have to beg for defeat”

Former The Voice coach, Blake Shelton is plotting Adam Levine’s demise. Levine just announced he was returning to his roots as a coach come Season 27.

Yet, Blake is not going to make it an easy experience for his former bestie by any means. Keep reading to see what the country superstar has planned.

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are two of the OG Voice coaches. Alongside them were Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green.

As time went on, Blake and Adam remained but in Season 16, the latter departed.

He continued to tour and make music with his band, Maroon 5 as well as expand his family with Behati Prinsloo.

Additionally, he dealt with a cheating scandal when his wife was pregnant with their third child.

They have since worked through it but all the while, The Voice continued its run. Coaches changed but Blake remained until Season 23.

Then, he exited and Reba McEntire came in and took over for him. She has done very well and just wrapped up her second season. Along with Gwen Stefani, Reba will be back for Season 26 with newcomers Michael Buble and Snoop Dogg. Yet, the Season 27 coaches were also revealed and it was a big deal that Adam Levine was returning. He will be joined by Buble, John Legend, and newbie, Kelsea Ballerini. However, Kelsea already knows that Adam will be her toughest contender but she will have some help taking him down.

According to Daily Express US, Blake Shelton is more than ready to help her with whatever she needs:

“I know it’s a big deal that he’s coming back but yeah — I feel like we’re going to be frenemies. Just kidding. However, I’ve gotten some pep talks from Blake about how to take him down!”

Adam and Blake had a very beloved bromance during their tenure together that viewers often missed when Adam exited. Yet, Blake also knows how to ruffle feathers so he surely told Kelsea what to say and do to rile her competition up. At the same time, she is looking forward to having the best time in her red coaching chair.

Despite wanting to take Adam Levine down, Kelsea Ballerini wants to make the most of her time on The Voice. More so, she is ready for whatever challenges come her way:

“I’m so excited. I’m excited because it’s just such a new adventure. I’ve gotten to be on set in different capacities over the years, but to really assume that role as a coach — it’s really going to stretch me and it’s going to be a new opportunity.”

She will assume the sole country coaching role so those who want that opportunity will be vying to be on her team. However, seeing Adam back may sway some, as well. Yet, in Kelsea’s mind, she is still growing and learning every day so that will be her approach. She shared she wants to be less of a coach and more of a “sister.” Now, as for what tools and tips Blake Shelton has given her, that will be exciting to see.
