We’ve got to hand it to Jennifer Lawrence, she’s a bit of a beauty chameleon. She’s rocked ice blonde, brunette and has experimented with pretty much every hair colour going.
She’s also up for her fair run of new hairstyles, previously serving us curly hair, straight ends and even a modern perm.
The last time Jen was spotted at Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week to hit-up the Dior show,
she wore her hair in a jumbo blonde mane of Lioness curls – pretty fitting for the Leo who’s celebrating her 31st birthday today.
It makes a marked difference from the edgy red crop she was seen rocking previously. The grungey style, which featured thick blunt bangs and a buzzed undercut,
was part of the look for her character, Dr. Kate Dibiasky, in upcoming sci-fi comedy, Don’t Look Up.
The film sees her star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio as a low-level astronomer conducting media tours to warn mankind about a comet that’s about to destroy earth.
We don’t know whether or not the temporary look is a wig but she pulls off the punchy style with aplomb. And if she seriously has gone for the undercut, she’s gone up 10 cool points in our books.
The cast is pretty major and will see Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate, Blanchett, Ariana Grande, Matthew Perry, Kid Cudi, Himesh Patel, Tomer Sisley, and Rob Morgan star alongside Jennifer and Leo. Major.
Whilst we were pretty taken aback by the star’s red hair, it’s not the first time she’s given us rouge vibes. Indeed, way back in 2012, she “accidentally” went red after dyeing her hair blonde and then brunette. At the time, hairstylist Mark Townsend said: “Her new colour is actually a happy accident. It’s been coloured and re-coloured so many times I told her to give it a break and use stripping shampoos.”
If there was one shade rising up the ranks as the hottest hair trend of 2021, it’s red. Blonde and brunette may have dominated the space, but finally, red is firmly having its moment in the sun. Gigi Hadid debuted a fiery copper earlier this year and Dua Lipa’s fling with a bright cherry bob has just about convinced us to reach for the dye.

Scroll down to marvel at Jennifer’s ever-changing hairstyles…
While filming scenes for her new movie Don’t Look Up at Boston train station, Jen was seen with cropped red hair featuring a blunt micro fringe and undercut. As for the makeup, it was kept edgy with smudgy black winged liner and she wore a nose ring to complete the look.
