Tom Hiddleston, Claire Foy, Emma Thompson and Keira Knightly have also donated
Emma Watson is putting her money where her mouth is.
The actress donated £1 million (approximately $1.4 million) to the Justice and Equality Fund, a U.K.-based initiative that fights against sexual harassment, assault and discrimination.
Inspired by the Time’s Up movement, the fund aims to promote “personal, social, legal and policy changes that will ensure everyone can feel safe at work, at play and at home.”
Tom Hiddleston, Claire Foy, Emma Thompson and Keira Knightly have also donated.
At the time of publication, the fund had raised more than £1.5 million.

The donations come as more than 200 stars signed an open letter published in The Observer asking women to stand in solidarity and fight against harassment.
Watson shared a photo of the article on Instagram, writing “this is the moment we stand together.”
“All of us are responsible for creating change, whatever industry you work in. We’re asking everyone to help create a world we can be proud of – one that is safe, just and equal,” she wrote. “Please join us and donate to the new Justice and Equality Fund, which will support frontline organisations that are working to end a culture where harassment and abuse are commonplace.”
She continued: “Together we can spread our message, support the strong people of all genders who are taking such personal risks, and make sure that this is one of those watershed moments in history where things never go back to the way they were before. This is the moment we stand together and say. #TIMESUP.”
Along with Watson, Emilia Clarke, Saoirse Ronan, Carey Mulligan and Naomie Harris also signed the letter.
Emma Watson is not the only celebrity taking a stand against sexual harassment and discrimination. Other actors such as Tom Hiddleston, Claire Foy, Emma Thompson, and Keira Knightly have also donated to the cause. Their contributions, along with Watson’s £1 million donation, have helped the Justice and Equality Fund raise over £1.5 million.
Inspired by the Time’s Up movement, the fund aims to bring about personal, social, legal, and policy changes that will make workplaces, social settings, and homes safer for everyone. This initiative is part of a larger effort to combat the prevalence of harassment and abuse in society.
As more than 200 stars signed an open letter in The Observer urging women to stand together against harassment, Watson took to Instagram to express her support. She emphasized that creating lasting change requires collective effort across all industries.
Watson’s message is clear: it’s up to all of us to contribute to building a world that is safe, just, and equal. By supporting the Justice and Equality Fund, individuals can help empower frontline organizations that are actively working to end the culture of harassment and abuse.
Joining Watson in this movement are fellow actresses Emilia Clarke, Saoirse Ronan, Carey Mulligan, and Naomie Harris. Together, they are sending a powerful message of solidarity and resilience. This is a pivotal moment in history, and their efforts are aimed at ensuring that there is no turning back.
