One needed money, the other honor; Harry agreed not to tarnish the family if King Charles handed over all his money to him under the guise of financial support

King Charles is said to be open to the idea of welcoming his youngest son, Prince Harry, back into the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex has had a strained relationship with the royals since quitting his senior duties and moving to the United States alongside his wife, Meghan Markle,

and their two children. The Sussexes left the UK in 2020 and have released a number of explosive claims about their treatment from the family.

In TV interviews and his memoir, Spare, Harry has hit out at members of the Royal Family, notably his dad and his older brother Prince William.

However, it could soon be a case of water under the bridge if Harry agrees to two guarantees, says a royal expert. Tom Quinn told the Mirror:

“King Charles would love to be closer to Harry and to have a relationship with his son that actually works.

But this depends on Harry giving his father cast-iron guarantees that there will be no more books and no more embarrassing interviews.”

Quinn added that Harry would also need to make some realisations before any reconciliation would happen, claiming he is currently sticking to a stance of being a total “victim”. He added: “Harry still feels that he is the victim and that his family need to make promises to him, not the other way round.”

The comments come as it’s reported Harry is looking for a permanent UK base after having Frogmore residency removed. Earlier this month Quinn claimed the Duke was missing his friends and former life in the UK and is looking to snap up a home in Blighty.

“As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK,” Quinn said. “Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.”

He went on: “He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”
