Emma Watson has returned to her “book fairy” duties once again again

By hiding a series of environmentally-focused books during Cop26 – the United Nations climate conference taking place in Glasgow at the moment.
“I’ve scattered some of my favourite books related to climate activism around Glasgow in honour of launching #COPBookFairies,” the actor

More than 300 books will be hidden around the country this weekend as part of the initiative, with Watson adding: “#ibelieveinbookfairies — do you?”

On Watson’s bookshelf? Lily Cole’s Who Cares Wins, Bonnie Tsui’s When We Swim, Anne Karpf’s How Women Can Save the Planet and Helen Jukes’s A Honeybee Heart Has Five Openings.

An anthology of essays entitled All We Can Save, as well as Maja Lunde’s novel The End of the Ocean, are also among the books that you could chance upon this weekend.
The actor first teamed up with The Book Fairies back in 2017, when she began hiding feminist books around New York City to celebrate International Women’s Day. She also teamed up with the organisation to hide 2,000 copies of Louisa May Alcott‘s Little Women around the world to mark Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of Little Women in 2019, which Watson stars in as Meg.
Watson has been busy championing environmental activism of late, attending the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in London last month, as well as meeting her “idol” Al Gore, who sounded the alarm bell on the climate crisis with his 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
