Molly-Mae Hague admits she’s been feeling ‘low and deflated’ as she marks first Christmas as a single mum

Molly-Mae Hague, the beloved influencer and former **Love Island** star,

has opened up about experiencing feelings of being “low and deflated” as she navigates her first Christmas as a single mother.

In an honest and emotional social media post, Molly-Mae shared her reflections on how different this festive season feels without the presence of a partner by her side,

while she focuses on creating meaningful memories for her daughter, Bambi.

The past year has been a whirlwind for Molly-Mae, filled with significant changes and milestones.

From becoming a mother to facing the challenges of single parenthood after her split from long-term partner Tommy Fury,

she has been candid about the emotional toll these transitions have taken. This Christmas, which should have been a season of joy and celebration, has instead become a time of introspection and adjustment for the young mother.

In her heartfelt post, Molly-Mae revealed that she had initially hoped the holiday season would bring some relief and happiness. However, as the days have passed, she has found herself grappling with unexpected emotions of sadness and exhaustion. “I always imagined Christmas as a time when the world feels lighter, brighter, and more magical,” she wrote. “But this year, I’ve been feeling anything but. It’s hard to admit, but I’ve been feeling really low and deflated.”

Molly-Mae explained that the source of her emotions stems from both the reality of parenting on her own and the longing for the picture-perfect holiday she once envisioned. She had always imagined sharing Bambi’s first Christmas as a family unit, surrounded by love and laughter. Instead, she is navigating a new reality, one that comes with its own set of challenges and complexities.

“As much as I try to keep things together for Bambi’s sake, there are moments when I just feel overwhelmed,” she shared. “I want to give her the world, especially during her first Christmas, but I also have to remind myself that I’m only human. It’s okay to feel a little broken sometimes.”

Despite her feelings of sadness, Molly-Mae has been determined to make Bambi’s first Christmas special. She shared glimpses of her efforts to create a festive atmosphere, from decorating her home with twinkling lights and a beautifully adorned Christmas tree to filling stockings and planning heartfelt surprises for her little girl. She described these acts as both a way to bring joy to Bambi and a coping mechanism for herself, helping her focus on the love and happiness she can provide.

“Bambi is my everything,” Molly-Mae wrote. “Seeing her little face light up when she looks at the tree or hears the music is what keeps me going. It reminds me that, no matter how hard things feel, there’s always something to be grateful for.”

The former **Love Island** star also reflected on the pressures of social media during the holiday season, noting how easy it is to compare one’s life to the seemingly perfect images shared online. Molly-Mae admitted that she, too, has felt the weight of those comparisons, but she urged her followers to remember that no one’s life is as flawless as it appears on Instagram.

“It’s easy to look at everyone else’s Christmas posts and feel like you’re the only one struggling,” she said. “But the truth is, we all have our battles, and we shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves for feeling what we feel. Christmas is about love, not perfection.”

Molly-Mae’s vulnerability has resonated with her fans, many of whom have praised her for speaking openly about the emotional challenges of single motherhood and the holiday blues. Her message serves as a reminder that it’s okay to feel a mix of emotions during what is often idealized as a purely joyful time.

As Molly-Mae continues to navigate this new chapter, she is leaning on her loved ones and cherishing the small, meaningful moments with Bambi. While this Christmas may not be what she had envisioned, she is finding strength in her role as a mother and in the unconditional love she shares with her daughter.

Through her honesty, Molly-Mae is showing others that it’s okay to embrace the imperfections of life and that there’s beauty in finding joy even in the midst of challenges. Her journey is a testament to resilience and the power of love, even during the most difficult times.
