Meghan Markle ‘With Love’ We’re Postponing Show … Netflix Series Pushed Back Because of Wildfires

Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated Netflix show, *With Love, Meghan*, has been postponed due to the ongoing wildfires devastating parts of Southern California.

The Duchess of Sussex, who has deep ties to the state, requested the delay to shift focus toward helping those affected by the destruction.

Netflix confirmed the delay on Sunday, announcing that the first season, originally scheduled for release soon, will now debut on March 4, 2025.

The show, which has been described by some as a “love letter” to the beauty of Southern California,

is expected to highlight the state’s natural wonders and the lifestyle that Markle has embraced since moving to the U.S.

However, with wildfires ravaging the area, Markle made the decision to postpone the show’s launch.

This decision reflects her concern for the wellbeing of those impacted by the fires, as well as her desire to avoid releasing content that may seem tone-deaf in light of the ongoing crisis.

In a statement released by Meghan, she expressed her gratitude to Netflix for their understanding and support in delaying the show. “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” she said. The statement highlights Meghan’s dedication to addressing the immediate needs of her community, rather than promoting entertainment during such a challenging time.

The postponement comes as Southern California faces one of its most destructive wildfire seasons in recent memory. The Palisades Fire, which has already burned more than 23,000 acres, is one of several fires currently ravaging the state. In total, more than 40,000 acres have been consumed by flames, and at least 16 people have tragically lost their lives. Local officials have been working tirelessly to contain the blazes, while residents are left to cope with the destruction and displacement caused by the fires.

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have shown their support for those affected by the fires. Just recently, the couple visited West Los Angeles to survey the damage caused by the Eaton wildfire. The two were seen walking solemnly through the area, speaking with local officials, and taking in the full scope of the devastation. The couple spent over 45 minutes in the affected area, offering their condolences and listening to first responders as they continue their efforts to battle the fires.

Their visit was captured in photos that showcased the gravity of the situation, as the Duke and Duchess walked side by side, clearly impacted by the scenes they encountered. The couple’s presence in the area underscored their commitment to supporting the community during such a challenging time. It also served as a reminder of the importance of community and coming together during times of crisis, something that Markle has spoken about publicly in the past.

The postponement of *With Love, Meghan* was a decision made with both sensitivity and foresight. The timing of the show’s release, initially planned during a time of recovery for the region, would have coincided with a period of immense emotional and physical hardship for many people in California. Meghan’s decision to reschedule the launch reflects her awareness of the emotional toll the wildfires are taking on residents and her desire to avoid adding to the overwhelming circumstances.

While the new premiere date of March 4 may seem far off, it allows the fires to be addressed and provides the people of California some time to recover from the devastation. The delay also gives Meghan more time to continue her philanthropic efforts and work on the ground in her community, which she has been actively engaged with in recent weeks.

With the fire season still ongoing, Meghan’s decision to delay her show is a thoughtful gesture that aligns with her values of compassion and support for those in need. It also serves as a reminder that, while entertainment and the arts are an important part of society, there are moments when the focus needs to shift toward helping others in times of crisis. As the wildfires continue to burn and families face uncertain futures, Meghan’s delayed Netflix release will surely be seen as a small act of kindness in the face of immense tragedy.
