“ Queen Elizabeth II has gone so far as to — at least to my knowledge — utter words against the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle ,” writes British author Gyles Brandreth in Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait .
According to the book, which will be released next December, the late Queen of Great Britain was “really happy” when her grandson said he would marry Markle.
“She likes Meghan and has told many people so. And she did everything she could to make her future granddaughter-in-law feel welcome,”
according to the biography, an excerpt of which was published in the Daily Mail .
The Queen didn’t even care about Meghan Markle’s infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey .
“I can tell you, because I know this, that the Queen has always been more concerned about Harry’s well-being than about ‘this television nonsense’,
regarding the Oprah Winfrey interview that caused caused a lot of controversy. This is a lucrative contract that Prince Harry’s family made with Netflix,” Brandreth, a former congressman who has known the royal family for a long time, wrote in the biography.
Brandreth also revealed in the book that he “had heard that the Queen had a form of myeloma (bone marrow cancer) which caused her to suffer from fatigue and weight loss as well as ‘mobility problems’ which we often told last year.
