Jess Wright, the former *TOWIE* star, has recently shared the news that she underwent a secret breast reduction surgery just before Christmas.
At 39 years old, Jess decided to remove her breast implants, a procedure she had originally documented on the reality show in 2011.
After her initial breast augmentation, Jess had increased her size to a 32DD,
but after this recent surgery, she now has a C cup.
In an interview with *Closer*, Jess explained her decision to undergo the procedure, revealing how uncomfortable she had become with the size of her breasts over the years.
She stated, “I was so sick of my big boobs – every single red-carpet dress I wanted to wear, I had to dress for my boobs.”
Jess admitted that her experience with implants was no longer something she was happy with. “My recommendation to any girl out there who has lovely boobs to begin with – which I did have and I still do have, thank God, since having them out – is don’t have any implants,” she added.
As Jess got older, she became increasingly concerned about having foreign objects in her body. She explained that she reached a point where she simply didn’t want anything artificial in her system. “I just got to the point where I didn’t want anything in me anymore – and if I ever have a daughter, I wouldn’t want her to either. I want to be able to enjoy me. I want to be me again.” This decision marks a significant shift for Jess, who is now embracing her natural self, including her darker, natural hair.
This wasn’t the first time Jess had expressed dissatisfaction with her breast implants. Back in 2016, she confessed that she had never been truly happy with the size of her implants. At that time, she approached two different surgeons seeking a reduction, but both advised against it, telling her that her breasts looked great as they were. Despite this, Jess felt they were too large and was disappointed that neither surgeon would agree to perform the procedure. “I was happy with them at first but I was younger – times have changed and fashion has changed,” she reflected.
Looking back, Jess also expressed regret about having her boob job featured on *TOWIE*. “One thing I do regret is my boob job being on TOWIE. It probably wasn’t the best of moves, but at the same time, whatever,” she said. She also shared her thoughts on the pressures faced by young girls in today’s society, particularly when it comes to cosmetic procedures. Jess remarked, “I think wait till you’re at a good age before surgery. All these young girls getting their lips done and getting fillers—I don’t agree with that.”
While Jess was keen to remove her implants, she made it clear that she doesn’t want any further cosmetic enhancements. “I wouldn’t get anything done except my boobs. I could probably do with something, but I don’t like the fake look, so I try and avoid that and keep it real,” she said. She also mentioned that while she was grateful for her naturally fuller lips, she wouldn’t feel the need to enhance them unless they were thinner.
Jess’s decision to undergo surgery was not an easy one, especially as she is a mother to two-year-old son Presley, whom she shares with her husband William Lee-Kemp. She revealed that her recovery from the surgery has been challenging, particularly while caring for Presley. The couple’s son has been facing his own health challenges, as he was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition called Bicuspid Aortic Valve. This condition affects about 1% of the population and will require Presley to undergo open-heart surgery at least twice during his lifetime. Despite this, Jess remains optimistic about her son’s future, reassuring her followers that he is doing well under medical supervision.
In the midst of her recovery, Jess has been focused on her family and also shared that she is trying to return to her roots by embracing her natural hair color. She hopes to raise awareness about both heart health and the pressures of beauty standards, offering support to other parents navigating similar challenges with their children’s health.
Jess’s candidness about her breast reduction surgery, as well as her journey as a mother dealing with Presley’s medical condition, has resonated with many. She continues to use her platform to advocate for body positivity and to raise awareness about congenital heart disease.
