Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Vivienne, 15, made a rare public appearance alongside her mother.
During the opening night of Broadway play The Outsiders on April 11, per JustJared.
The duo worked together on the production – which is an adaptation of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 movie of the same name.
With Vivienne working as an assistant volunteer on the musical, according to People.
Vivienne, wearing a chic denim jumpsuit for the premiere, looked a lot like her actress mum, who stunned the red carpet in a bronze cape and silk dress for the event.
“Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the centre of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Angelina previously shared, per People.
“She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
Here’s what we know about Vivienne Jolie-Pitt as she continues to step into the world of showbiz:
Vivienne and her twin Knox were famously born to much fanfare on the French Riviera, in the charming seaside city of Nice, with Knox born first, about a minute before his twin sister. In addition to their glamorous birthplace, the origins of their names are equally intriguing.
Knox, full name Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt, is named after his paternal great grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse, with Léon derived from his mum’s great grandfather. Vivienne’s middle name is Marcheline, which is a tribute to her maternal grandmother, Angelina’s mum Marcheline Bertrand.
The Jolie-Pitt household has always been a big and international one, with all six of the former couple’s children born in different countries around the world. Maddox was adopted from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam, Zahara from Ethiopia, while Shiloh, the couple’s first biological child, was born in Namibia, and biological twins Vivienne and her brother Knox born in France.
As previously reported, Vivienne has already made an impressive cameo in a blockbuster Hollywood film. A five-year-old Vivienne appeared as young Princess Aurora on screen alongside Jolie in Disney’s Maleficent.
In an interview given to Entertainment Weekly in 2014, Jolie said, “It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So, it had to be Viv.”
According to Hola magazine, Shiloh was also offered a role alongside Jolie in Maleficent, but turned it down. The then-six year old apparently decided against playing Jolie’s on-screen daughter, and that’s when Vivienne stepped up.
Vivienne has also modelled in Vogue alongside her siblings and parents for the magazine’s November 2015 issue.
Vivienne has various hobbies it seems. Jolie told Vanity Fair that Vivienne wants to learn Arabic, while brother Knox was learning sign language. She also reportedly practices karate.
Vivienne and her twin obviously take after their famous mum, for whom humanitarian work and philanthropic endeavours have become as important as her acting career, if not more so.
An example of the kids’ charitable outreach was when fellow American actress Sarah Ramos went to her neighbourhood dog park and encountered the Jolie-Pitt family selling organic doggy treats to raise funds for Hope for Paws, a local LA animal rescue organisation.
