Blake Lively has expressed her satisfaction with Justin Baldoni’s decision to release unedited footage from the filming of *It Ends With Us*, 

as she believes it only strengthens her case and proves her discomfort with his advances during the scene. 

The release of the raw footage, which was posted by Baldoni’s team, has added further complexity to the ongoing legal battle between the two. 

According to Lively’s legal team, the footage serves as clear evidence of the inappropriate behavior she has described in her lawsuit, highlighting moments 

where Baldoni’s actions went beyond what was scripted or agreed upon.

Blake’s legal representatives have voiced their concerns, stating that Baldoni’s actions on set were not only unprofessional but were also a violation of her personal boundaries. 

They pointed out that Baldoni’s behavior—ranging from attempting to kiss Lively to caressing her in ways that weren’t in the script—was entirely unscripted and uncoordinated. Furthermore, they claim that there was no intimacy coordinator present during the filming of the scene, which further exacerbates the situation. “Every moment of this was improvised by Mr. Baldoni with no discussion or consent in advance,” Blake’s legal team said in a statement. 

The video shows Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Lively, attempting to kiss her, rubbing his face against her neck, and making personal comments such as telling her how good she smelled. For Blake’s team, these actions were not only invasive but also indicative of a larger issue. They allege that Baldoni’s behavior was an abuse of power, as he was not only her co-star but also the director and her employer at the time. According to Blake’s lawyers, her visible discomfort—seen as she leaned away from Baldoni and asked for their characters to simply talk—was not part of the scene but a natural response to unwanted physical contact.

Lively’s legal team emphasized that her reactions, as captured in the raw footage, clearly show her attempts to distance herself from Baldoni and deflect the advances. They argue that any woman who has experienced unwanted workplace advances would recognize her discomfort and attempts to deflect the situation. Blake’s legal representatives also pointed out that no woman should ever have to take defensive measures to avoid inappropriate physical contact from her employer, particularly without prior consent or discussion.

In contrast, Baldoni’s team has maintained that the unedited footage demonstrates he did not sexually harass Lively during the scene. Baldoni himself has argued that the actions were part of the improvisational nature of the filming and were not meant to be harmful. However, Lively’s team remains steadfast in their assertion that Baldoni’s actions were both unwarranted and unprofessional. In a statement, they referred to the footage as “damning,” as it corroborates the specifics of Lively’s initial complaint, particularly Paragraph 48, where she describes Baldoni’s physical actions during the scene.

The release of the footage has intensified the ongoing legal war between Lively and Baldoni, with both parties continuing to present starkly different narratives. Lively’s legal team also criticized Baldoni’s public release of the video, suggesting it was an unethical attempt to manipulate the media and the public. They emphasized that while Baldoni and his associates have focused on public relations efforts, Lively’s legal team is committed to pursuing justice through the court system.

This latest development in the case comes amid a broader legal battle, with Baldoni suing Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist for defamation, civil extortion, and interference with contractual relations. Baldoni is seeking $400 million in damages, while Lively has accused him of displaying inappropriate material, discussing his alleged pornography addiction, and making unsolicited comments about her weight.
