Anton Du Beke is left baffled over £32,000 question about DANCE during Who Wants To Be a Millionaire celebrity special

Anton Du Beke, the much-loved *Strictly Come Dancing* judge, left viewers in shock

after a surprising stumble on a dance-related question during Sunday’s celebrity special of *Who Wants To Be A Millionaire*.

The 58-year-old dancer, known for his impeccable knowledge of ballroom and Latin dance,

found himself struggling to answer a question in his own field of expertise while attempting to raise money for The Sick Children’s Trust.

During the special, which saw Anton join other celebrities like Jools Holland, Nina Wadia, and Ugo Monye, the *Strictly* star sailed through the early rounds, accumulating winnings for the charity.

However, when he reached the £32,000 question, things took an unexpected turn.

The question, which was related to musical theatre, read: “Which Tony-Award winning musical features a mash-up called Elephant Love Medley?” The possible answers were *Hairspray*, *The Book of Mormon*, *Moulin Rouge!*, and *Six*. Anton, visibly puzzled, paused for a moment before asking the audience to use his 50/50 lifeline, eliminating two of the incorrect options. Still uncertain, Anton ultimately chose *The Book of Mormon* as his final answer.

In a humorous but poignant moment, Anton sweetly declared, “If I get this wrong, I’m going to give the charity £15,000 of my own money.” But unfortunately for Anton, the answer was incorrect, and host Jeremy Clarkson delivered the disappointing news: “That’s just cost you £15,000.” The correct answer was revealed to be *Moulin Rouge!*.

Despite the setback, Anton maintained his trademark sense of humor. “You wait until I tell my wife!” he joked, prompting a lighthearted response from Jeremy Clarkson, who quipped, “I’m afraid this is going to go on television.” Anton’s sweet and charitable spirit was evident, as he had initially been playing to raise money for *The Sick Children’s Trust*, a charity that supports families with seriously ill children.

The moment became one of the most memorable from the episode, with fans on social media praising Anton for his humility and humor. One fan tweeted, “Anton gave it a great go, but it was absolutely the right decision for him to go tonight. Thank you for playing for charity, Anton!” Another user added, “I can’t believe Anton got that question wrong! But love that he’s still supporting such a great cause.”

This misstep came after another eventful moment from the celebrity special. Music legend Jools Holland had an equally challenging start to his *Who Wants To Be A Millionaire* appearance. By the time Jools reached the £1,000 question, he had already used both of his lifelines. He struggled to answer a question about fitness influencer Joe Wicks and his online fitness sessions for children, eventually relying on the audience for help. The answer, of course, was Joe Wicks.

Jools continued to face tough questions, including one about the tagline from Alfred Hitchcock’s *Psycho*. With both his audience and a phone-a-friend lifeline exhausted, Jools still found himself unsure of the answer. This led to a moment of comical exasperation, as Jools, in typical fashion, pretended to collapse in relief when he and Jeremy Clarkson finally figured out the answer.

Despite their early struggles, both Anton and Jools continued to raise money for charity, showing that even when faced with tough questions and missteps, they remained committed to the cause. The celebrity special of *Who Wants To Be A Millionaire* highlighted the camaraderie and humor among its contestants, while also demonstrating the challenges that come with the pressure of the game show.

Anton’s exit from the game was bittersweet but light-hearted, and his generous offer to donate £15,000 to charity despite the loss endeared him even further to viewers. With his characteristic grace and humor, Anton proved once again that his heart is just as big as his dancing talent.

As the show progresses, fans can look forward to more celebrity contestants facing the high-pressure environment of *Who Wants To Be A Millionaire*, and no doubt, more unforgettable moments will follow.
