Lauryn Goodman, the TV personality and mother of two children with England footballer Kyle Walker, is speaking out after his move to Italy to join AC Milan.
In an emotional interview, Lauryn, 34, has shared her frustration with the way Kyle has been absent in their children’s lives, criticizing him for not being a present father.
Lauryn, who has a son named Kairo and a daughter named Kinara with Kyle,
opened up about her decision to be transparent with her kids about their father’s lack of involvement in their upbringing.
She made it clear that she has been working tirelessly to provide a stable, loving environment for them, but has been left to shoulder the responsibility alone.
“I don’t want them to feel like they’re missing out because they haven’t got a present dad to be doing these things with them,” Lauryn said.
“I’ve been through hell and back fighting for my children and then absolutely being crucified for it in the process.”
Lauryn’s emotional comments shed light on the struggles she has faced as a single mother. She emphasized that everything she does is for her children, expressing her deep commitment to making sure they feel loved and supported despite the challenges of having an absent father. “Everything I do is for my kids,” Lauryn stated, adding that she works tirelessly to ensure her children are cared for and protected from the negative effects of their father’s absence. “They are innocent and I am here, day in, day out, caring for them, making sure that they are looked after, making sure they’re loved, making sure that they’re not affected.”
Her remarks come amid a turbulent period in Kyle Walker’s personal life. After briefly rekindling his relationship with Lauryn, the footballer eventually returned to his childhood sweetheart, Annie Kilner, with whom he shares four sons. Despite his return to Annie, Kyle and Lauryn’s relationship remained complicated, and their daughter Kinara was born in October 2022 while Kyle was in London for treatment for a groin injury. Lauryn became pregnant with Kairo while Kyle was on a break from Annie in 2019, and the pair briefly had an on-again, off-again relationship.
Now, as Kyle has made the move to Italy to join AC Milan, Lauryn has publicly criticized him for not maintaining a relationship with his two children. She pointed out the stark differences in the way her children live compared to his other children, who are reportedly living in a lavish lifestyle, thanks to their father’s success. Lauryn mentioned that she hopes to give Kairo and Kinara a similar lifestyle but expressed frustration that they will never truly have the same life experiences as Kyle’s children with Annie. “It’s about all the children having the same, which they will never have, but I can try to get similarities for them. If his other children are living like that, why can’t Kairo and Kinara?” she questioned.
In contrast to Lauryn’s candid remarks, Kyle was recently seen reunited with his wife, Annie, and their four children in Italy. The family jetted into Milan to watch Kyle make his debut for AC Milan, following a turbulent week filled with speculation about his relationship with both Lauryn and Annie. The Walker family, including their children Roman, 12, Riaan, nine, Reign, seven, and baby Rezon, were seen supporting Kyle as he started this new chapter in his career.
Despite the ongoing tension, Lauryn remains focused on her children’s well-being. She currently resides in a £2.4 million house in Sussex, a property owned by Kyle. However, she has made it clear that she is not seeking financial gain from the relationship, stating, “I’m not a money grabber.” For Lauryn, it’s about providing the best for her children and ensuring they have what they need, even if it means facing the challenges of doing so without the support of their father.
As Lauryn prepares to have an honest conversation with her children about their father’s absence, her focus remains on providing a stable and loving home for Kairo and Kinara. With Kyle’s career in Italy and his complicated personal life, it seems unlikely that the children will have a consistent relationship with him anytime soon.
In the meantime, Lauryn continues to navigate the difficult reality of single motherhood while ensuring her children’s needs are met.
