Meghan Markle has headed to Utah for another snowy sojourn, this time with her best friends.

The trip follows Markle and Prince Harry’s visit to Canada for the ‘One Year to Go’ launch event for the Invictus Games in Whistler.

She didn’t have to store away her ski boots upon her return to sunny California, though, as she returned to the slopes on Powder Mountain in Utah for a ‘perfect trip’ away

with her best friends and their young families.

‘My heart is so full. The kids crushed the slopes by day, and the adults howled with laughter deep into the night,’ said Meghan’s friend and founder of Pilates Platinum, Heather Dorak, in an Instagram post.

The picture included scenic shots of the family adventure, including a group shot of herself, Meghan, and co-founder of the Alliance of Moms, Kelly McKee Zajfen.

She added that she feels ‘truly lucky in love’ with her crew of fellow mums. Zajfen shared the photo on her Instagram story, adding that she too felt ‘beyond grateful for the best of friends.’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend the Invictus Games One Year To Go Event on February 14, 2024.

Powder Mountain or ‘PowMow’ to locals seemed the perfect location for the family trip. The spectacular snow in this area of Utah is known as some of the ‘greatest snow on earth.’ The high proportion of the coveted ‘champagne’ powder snow makes it a snow bunny’s dream. The awe-inspiring vistas and vast selection of luxurious chalets mean it’s a great spot for families looking for glamour, great snow and privacy.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Meghan and Prince Harry recently, with particular media attention around the family in the last few weeks. This is firstly due to the duo’s decision to officially adopt ‘Sussex’ as the surname for their children, Archie and Lilibet. The family said they hoped it would bring some ‘unity,’ but it garnered a lot of negative feedback from critics who disagreed with their decision to step down from royal duties but still keep the royal surname. Furthermore, their slick new website received some backlash because of the decision to remove all mention of royal or familial links, while still maintaining a version of their royal crest.

Yesterday also saw the British High Court rule that Prince Harry would not be granted instant and guaranteed security whilst visiting the UK. Harry was in court at the end of last year attempting to reinstate protection for him and his family whilst on ‘home soil,’ labelling his lack of security as ‘unfair.’ His appeals were denied, however, which could potentially create further divisions between Harry and his family across the pond. King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis and announcement in February saw Harry jet back to London for a brief visit to Clarence House, though he did not see Prince William during the trip. So, it’s been quite the beginning of 2024 for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

It seems some mountain-fresh air on Powder Mountain with good friends was quite the ticket for Meghan, who was pictured beaming lovingly in pictures with Zajfen and Dorak. Celebrity hairdresser Kadi Lee also shared pictures of the trip, confirming that he’d adapted her hair color slightly to incorporate some golden and red undertones to give her the ‘healthiest glow’ and a ‘high-power shine.’

It’s not known if Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, joined the holiday, as they were not pictured in the carousel of images on social media. It’s presumed that they would have joined the holiday while Prince Harry held down the fort at their Montecito home in California.
