Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Pete Wicks made a heartwarming return to the show’s spotlight,

reuniting with his professional partner Jowita Przystal and showing his support for his fellow 2024 castmates as the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour came to an exciting conclusion.
Pete’s Strictly Journey and Reunion with Jowita
Pete, known for his appearances on The Only Way is Essex, became a fan favorite during Strictly’s 20th-anniversary series in 2024.

He and Jowita Przystal formed a strong partnership throughout the competition, impressing viewers and judges alike with their performances.

However, their journey was cut short just before the grand finale, as they were eliminated in the semi-finals.

Despite narrowly missing out on the chance to compete for the Glitterball Trophy, Pete and Jowita were given one last opportunity to hit the dance floor together. The duo returned for the series’ final episode in December, where all of the 2024 contestants reunited to celebrate the milestone season before Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell were officially crowned winners.
Showing Support for Strictly’s Live Tour
As the Strictly experience continued into 2025 with the nationwide Strictly Come Dancing Live tour, Jowita joined the ensemble of professional dancers performing in arenas across the country. Pete, however, chose not to take part in the tour, unlike some of his celebrity co-stars.
Even though he wasn’t part of the live show lineup, Pete made sure to show his support in person. As the Strictly tour reached its grand finale on Sunday, February 9, Pete attended the last set of performances, making it clear that he was still very much a part of the Strictly family.
Taking to Instagram, Pete shared his enthusiasm for the show and his former dance partner. Posting a clip of the opening number, he wrote:
“Here supporting the dance wife and the rest of my @bbcstrictly crew!”

In another post, he praised the entire cast, writing:
“Proud of you all!”
Cheering on His Fellow Contestants
Pete didn’t just reunite with Jowita—he also cheered on several of his fellow Strictly 2024 contestants. Among them was EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, who performed a lively jive to Las Ketchup’s hit song The Ketchup Song. Pete playfully dubbed Jamie the “condiment king” in reference to the song title and showed his full support for his co-star’s energetic routine.
Tasha Ghouri, another standout from the 2024 series, also received a special shoutout from Pete. The reality star, who made it to the Strictly final with Aljaž Škorjanec, has been widely praised for her performances on the tour. Pete captured a snippet of Tasha’s performance, captioning the video:
“There she goes… the bestie! Born to do this, the most amazing dancer! @tashaghouri [black heart emojis]. (You ain’t bad either @aljazskorjanec).”

His lighthearted humor shone through when he attempted to mimic his friends’ dance moves but admitted his rhythm might not be what it once was. Sharing a video of himself trying to keep up, he jokingly wrote:
“I’m still not in time.”
A Fitting End to the Strictly Experience
Pete’s presence at the final tour performance highlighted the lasting friendships formed during his Strictly journey. While his time on the show officially ended months ago, his continued support for Jowita and the rest of the Strictly cast proves that the experience had a lasting impact on him.
As the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour wrapped up with dazzling performances, emotional goodbyes, and an outpouring of support from fans, Pete Wicks was right there to celebrate with his former dance family—proving once again that the magic of Strictly extends far beyond the dance floor.
