For the 20th consecutive year, Ryan Seacrest rang in the new year with millions of viewers

as the host of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on December 31, 2024.
The longtime television and radio personality once again took center stage in Times Square, helping Americans welcome 2025 with his signature enthusiasm and professionalism.
Reflecting on New Year’s Eve Proposals

Ahead of the highly anticipated ball drop, Seacrest sat down for an interview on Good Morning America to discuss the annual event’s most memorable traditions.

During his conversation with GMA’s Will Reeve, he highlighted one of the most heartwarming aspects of New Year’s Eve in Times Square—the countless marriage proposals that take place amid the celebrations.

“That’s something that’s happened almost every single year. Some of it makes TV, some of it doesn’t, but people love that moment to say, ‘Will you be with me for the rest of our lives?’” Seacrest, now 50, shared.
Reeve, playfully engaging in the conversation, joked that he should have waited to propose on air with Seacrest present. In response, Seacrest quipped, “There’s still time for me.”
Encouraging him in a lighthearted exchange, Reeve replied, “You’ve got this, Ryan. We won’t rush you, though.”
Seacrest, known for keeping his personal life relatively private, responded, “Yeah, please. I’m taking my time.”
A New Year as a Single Man

As Seacrest steps into 2025, it appears he is doing so as a single man. The media mogul and his former girlfriend, model Aubrey Paige, ended their relationship in 2024 after three years together. In April, a representative for Seacrest confirmed the news to People magazine.
“After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways,” a source told the outlet. “They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors.”
The pair first made headlines as a couple in 2021, though they largely kept their romance out of the spotlight. Despite their split, it appears they have maintained an amicable relationship.
A Career-Driven Life

Though Seacrest has been linked to several high-profile relationships in the past, including Julianne Hough and Shayna Taylor, marriage and children have never been a part of his journey—at least, not yet. His dedication to his ever-expanding career may be one of the reasons he has yet to settle down.
From his early days as the host of American Idol to his extensive work in radio and television, Seacrest has consistently taken on new and demanding opportunities. He spent several years co-hosting Live with Kelly and Ryan, a job that required him to frequently travel between New York and Los Angeles. In addition to hosting American Idol and his radio show, he took on yet another major television role in 2024, stepping in as the new host of Wheel of Fortune following Pat Sajak’s retirement.
“I’ve been watching the show all my life. I think that this is a show that means so much to a lot of people,” Seacrest told People in a September 2023 interview. “It’s a part of their lives, they like to get together at the end of the day and try and solve the puzzles. And for me, it’s a chance to give away cash and prizes and work with the legendary Vanna White.”

What’s Next for Ryan Seacrest?
With another New Year’s Rockin’ Eve successfully behind him, Seacrest continues to focus on his professional endeavors as he embarks on 2025. Whether or not he finds time for romance in the coming year remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—his presence in the entertainment industry shows no signs of slowing down.
