Cardi B just attended her first Met Gala ever tonight, but you wouldn’t have been able to tell by the way she took over the red carpet. 

The hip-hop star and fashion’s new darling attended the fête arm in arm with designer Jeremy Scott.

The duo not only came as dates, they also stole the show in matching, pearl-embellished ensembles that aligned perfectly with the theme of “Catholic Imagination.”

Scott didn’t skimp on the details for this custom Moschino look. Cardi’s entire dress, gloves, choker, and heapiece were covered in beads and ornate jewels. 

And as if the thigh-high slit on her luxe frock didn’t add enough drama.

There was also a billowing satin overskirt belted layered at the waist, adding some instant volume and a quintessential train.

And can we just take a moment to admire this crown? The headpiece was a flawless hybrid of religious and regal.

The mom-to-be, who’s been rocking impressive maternity style in recent weeks, also flaunted her baby bump on the carpet.

For those wondering where Cardi’s fiancé and baby daddy Offset was, fear not. The rapper arrived early with the rest of the Migos, dressed in coordinating Versace suits. (Though, we could have guessed what designer they’d be wearing based off their 2013 hit of the same name.)

We can’t wait to see Cardi keep rocking the Met Gala red carpet in the years to come. This may be her first time at the event, but we can tell it certainly won’t be her last.
